If you want to know the truth, I’m really getting agitated right now. We do 7 shows. We’ve released 10 episodes in the past 7 days, or 200 minutes of dialogue (250 of anime), AKA over 4 hours of anime, with 6 XviDs and 9 h.264s.
And yet I’m still getting people asking me “Will you pick up this show? Nobody is subbing it?” “Did you drop the XviDs?” “Are you still doing the TLR Widescreens?”
Stop being so demanding. We’re doing this for free, in case you didn’t realize, and most other groups would have probably dropped some projects if they fell behind or stalled them for like 5 weeks. We’re making every effort to get everything caught up by mid next week, so give us some slack.

as for the lag in your workload hey no biggy i decided to grab the h.264’s (or whatever encode they are) for kono aozora and i found the xvid of ef u did on another site so no biggy on that front guys.
maybe keep hyakko and makademi wasshoi in mind for pick ups down the line though should nobody else happen to grab em and should u have the time.

If you think it’s easy to host a web, put links of direct download, recruit staffs & sub animes.
Try do it yourself, I been a TLer & TLCer before. It’s not a easy job & takes up time.

I was damn excited to know Chihiro to pick up this anime, finally able to untie the knot in my mind that kept on wondering what happened to Wataru & others.
It’s unavoidable to have spammers, but you’ll also have supporters. Try to ignore the spammers if you can & hear the supports from your loyal fans.

@Ekzim: We have never demanded people donate to us, nor have we pocketed any of that money. The staff is doing it for free. It’s the server that needs the money which we use to get you episodes. Why do we accept money? Same reason why a not for profit organization charges for events. We have our expenses.
Dear Chihiro-Sub
Like I mentioned above, you guys do a really great job and since you brought your first relase out I watch every day a few time on your page.
Of course the important reason is to find out what are the new relase for the day and the second one is to read the announcement you do. Because I think that a good Sub group isn`t only about the release they do. I think it`s interesting to read what you have to say about the relase as well.
I want to say something about your homepage:
There are many Sub groups how don`t have hompages like yours and I think that if someone put announcements every few hours it should mean that you are serious. The design of the page is nice as well.
I have to say that I tought before you started that a good sub group are only the ones how do a good opening, ending like karaoke version or etc. Or differents comment in the relase itself. But since you started, I have to admit that that isn`t true.
Anyway, you do a great job and thanks a lot for your relases.

I see where you’re going with that, but frankly, it’s the fact that Chihiro over-communicates with us fans that sets them actually above any other group. What other group gives actual ETAs and status updates? How many of them listen much at all to what the fans have to say, beyond a few of their insiders on IRC? I don’t want them taking any more grief than necessary, but I sure appreciate their approach to communication, and stopping reading the input would only harm it.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Chihiro ROCKS, but maybe you guys are spreading yourselves a little too thing. It seems to me that you have been trying to get caught up for a while now. One of the things everyone loves about Chihiro is that they are good and they are fast. I for one hope that doesn’t change.
I never understood people who complain about something they get for free, people like that should do it their self if they want it faster/better or shut up about it an quit bothering you. I thank you for all the time and effort this group puts in i enjoy watching your releases. Keep up the great work. i guess its the price you pay for being a fansub tho, seems like no matter where you go someone is always complaining about something regardless of how fast/well it was done…. thats when you trick them an get them to install a virus that wipes their computer, you wouldnt see them for awhile lol

I think that you guys absolutley rock, there are very few groups out there that have the kind of determination and tenacity that you guys have. You really love what your are doing and anyone with a human brain or heart can see that. Thank you for all the work that you guys do.

you can’t compare a fansub group with something like a charity organisation
let’s say someone donates $100 because he likes your work, do you really believe that he watched it for free? well, yes, he was the one who decided to pay for it but he PAID for it

Of course it’s free. Anybody who chooses to donate only does so of their own volition and not because of any obligation to the group. Even if they decided not to donate, they would still be able to download subs as they always have without reprisal. Whether you donate or not (depending on if Chihiro is even accepting donations at the time) is entirely up to the individual and not requisite for continued use of Chihiro’s services and is not a fee for use of said services.
That has to be expected as Chihiro’s Name is getting big now…
… and to the hell with hell girl season 3!!! Season 2 gave us a good closure, WHY THE F#CK will they ruin that?! …oh, of course money…
