Kyou no Go no Ni – 11

k5211

This is one of the first weeks I chose the 2nd eyecatch over the 3rd. Weird, isn’t it?

OK, so a note about our torrents. Note that we do have trolls, and probably always will. We are taking measures to prevent that. First, please always check with our website. I will try to add the blog post soon after release. If there isn’t one, check with the IRC channel. If it’s not there, then check minglong’s page: here. If it is not on any of these, then it will be a troll from someone else, and you will likely be tempted to gauge out your eyes.

  • Kupi

    Yeah1! Thanks a lot!!

  • hibiki

    Loli shot of the day

  • Acid

    I appreciate the work that you guys do! Although many people think your work is not as good as other groups, I think it is great that you work on a lot of shows that no one else bothers to work on.

    Keep it up!

  • Kanaka

    Must be getting quite popular to have that many trolls πŸ™‚
    Thanks for the release.

    Hey is any of you having problems loading this web sites cuz i am.

  • hanzo

    i was earlier but it loads fine now.

  • Problem was that webserver was overloading the CPU.
    After a couple of fixes with the webserver owner, we tweaked it a little.

  • Brian

    I am seeing the same problem with your r+v 2, Kyou no Go no Ni, and skip beat h264 encodes the audio and video do not sync up. but when I re encode them they work fine. it has to be how you are encoding the video. when I encode them I use prism video converter and the ffdshow encoder. I run it 1 pass by avg bitrate (900 kbps is the avg I set) with these settings I get a 170mb video with audio from your 230 + mb video at the same res and fps prism has setting to change them but I don’t change the res and I set the fps to 29.970. I know I posted that I was only able to watch them at 23.976 but I was wrong. Is boiling down to the way your videos are encoded. this is not a compliant it is to help you serve the fans better.

  • Brian

    oh I forgot to say that your are not the only group that is having this problem.

  • Yahooooo πŸ™‚

    Thanks Chihiro πŸ™‚

    Just gotta find time to watch it now~

  • You know its time to throw that old junk and get a new computer when you can’t play HQ videos smoothly. Or try to close all other resource-hogging & unneeded applications and see if the situation improves. Protip : open task manager and see the cpu usage when you have the out-of-sync problem. If 1000 people downloaded this file and got no problem with it, then you can’t help but think its your own problem.

    And Chihiro-subs, thanks for doing this show, as always.

  • Brian

    mmmm you are wrong on that point there are ppl that do not say a word b/c they just happy they get to watch it or the get the xvid version and not the h264 ver and also my is not that old it might not be the top of the line but it is better than not having one at all. and also like I said I do not change the res and the fps is 29.970 which is the same as the original video also quality is the same at a smaller size when my computer sits or surfing the net my cpu is at 0% and also it is not all h264 videos that just one in 1280 x 720 res which when I re encode them I do them in the same 1280 x 720 res.

  • kaguzuchi

    Thank you for the release!

  • Hi Brian,

    I am not encoding for this group as of the moment since other encoders are on the project.
    The best way, as you say, is to convert the FPS with avisynth to 23.976 with audio-sync.
    Then encoding it to a lossless (with all filters) to prepair the H264 encode in MeGUI (lossless depending if there is a lot of cutting/pasting needed and overlaying).
    But it totally depends on the encoder in what way it is encoded.

  • Kristen

    Brian:

    What is failing for you is the variable frame rate implemented into this episode. RV2 is also variable frame rate, being 30 fps for the ED, 23.976 for the rest of the episode.

    This comes with slower computers or resource hogged computers.

  • What do you mean, people happy the get to watch even if it stutters and the subtitle displayed was for the previous 10 second’s dialogue?

    You have to accept the fact h264 IS resource-consuming, especially at high resolution. Its a common problem. It all goes down to whether you have enough processing power to decode h264, or your codec configurations are messed up.

    If you re-encode to other format, even at the same resolution, it’d be less heavier than h264.

    Also, I’m telling you to take a look at the cpu usage ‘when’ the video is playing, not when the pc is idle (lol of course it’d be 0% if its idle, sherlock).

    In a nutshell, if it is out-of sync, that means the video is too heavy for you to play.
    Which means, xvid is the ideal choice for you.

    By the way, nothing personal, but please write properly.

    And Chihiro, sorry for the off topic comments.

  • @Arashi Kaze

    What’s with the mega-size wall of text?

    >_>

    Stop trying to belittle others about codecs and whatnot. The fact of the matter is that on the fansubber side, they can very well smooth out the video, keep up the resolution, and keep the h264 codec while allowing it to be not so resource heavy.

    I just hope that with the complete batch torrent, Chihiro decides to:

    – QC all the episodes again
    – change the script up or edit the script if need be
    – fix up any codec, video, audio, or playback issues
    – smooth some things out
    – maybe add some translator’s notes if you guys feel the need to

    If it was up to me I wouldn’t even make any kind of AVI.

    AVI is so damn old and outdated. If your computer can’t handle H264 and 720p and up “tough shit”
    It’s already almost 2009 and people are still crying about “my poor shitty computer can’t handle nice quality wah wah”. MP4 should have became the new norm to replace AVI a long time ago. Only good I see in AVI is that I can use them when I decide to watch something through my 360 on the T.V “even though MP4 works to”

  • DarknessAngel

    Is the .avi out already since i saw an avi version on Tokyotosho and i dont wana risk downloading it :))

    @ ObrokenO … can you like go away ? Its not your job to talk about people with bag computers … okey ? There are people who watch on a lot of shit except cpu’s and there are people who dont prio having the latest cpu or w/e gadgets there are so they can watch anime . Dont think that all people have the same priorities as you okey ? For you having the latest cpu can mean fun for someone else can mean more work related and less fun and not needing the latest there is to do that .

  • Bjorne

    Thank you so much once again for subbing Kyou no Go no Ni!!! Very much appreciated!

  • MV

    it is i watch it is the real thing download it at

  • ObrokenO

    @DarknessAngel nooblet

    Can ya likea learnaa… to spell properly before you type or at least proofread your shit. I literally laughed at your comment for almost 5 min before typing. FTR! I don’t have the latest anything. I’m still on windows XP and it works fine for meh. Don’t get upset because I’m speaking the god damn truth about shitty AVI’S. It’s always the same shitty idiots that whine about H264 not working for them. My relpy will always be “tough shit” Get a job and buy something better instead of crying about how poor you and your comp is.

  • kaguzuchi

    @ObrokenO

    You know that you are making yourself really sound like an ass. English isn’t the first language for some of the people who come here to watch these subs. Also this isn’t a spelling bee or a damn English class!

  • ObrokenO

    @Kaguzuchi

    I’m well aware that English isn’t the first language, but I don’t have any remorse for the language barrier when it comes to people that like to start arguments with me. Why am I the ass in the first place? I never really said anything in my first comment directly to anyone did I?? Still people fill the need to say “OMFG go away for talking about my ancient precious AVI” and seem to get upset for me just stating the facts. Well how I’m perceived on the internet is a little irrelevant. If your hurt by some strangers words over the net you have issues and probably need some fresh air along with a serious dose of reality.

  • @ObrokenO:
    What is so bad for people watching AVI’s.
    Yes, MP4, MKV and whatever container there is at the moment is indeed the shit, but you are trying to force people to upgrade their computer without providing the Xvid version. I do understand your point and its true, but not most people in other countries are that rich. Maybe they are spending money out on other important and higher priority things, but still, AVI should work fine on older PC’s, thus Chihiro provides a more broad ranges of video files.
    As all other people here saying that you should shut up and such, I think you should make yourself more open for other people’s oppinions.

  • ObrokenO

    @Power2All

    I’m very open to all opinions but people like to add stuff like “Go away” Your a asshole.” That pretty much turn there opinion mute which leads to controversy. I try to keep a healthy set of words but some people are way to sensitive about things “Or maybe I’m expecting to much from people” I forget there is a age gap sometimes. My first post didn’t even have any main opinions in it because it was just facts. About me not be open is very not true. I never forced 1 opinion on anyone and if people are thinking that then my words have bin misinterpreted. Plus how can you truly force anyone to do anything lol. If they wanted AVI that badly there is a nice program called All 2 AVI out there. I don’t personally have anything against the old piece of shit but the endless crying about people can’t play MKV’S is getting a little old. There missing out on the best of anime in High quality. 5 Centimeters per Second movie in 1080p is just amazing. I feel almost bad for people that can’t see it.

    i always wonder how these kind of discussion can originate from the simple intent of wanting to help but after reading it its getting a bit pointless. cant we leave this comment area for what its actualy used for? comments on this release?

    Where is the comment about the release from your side ? πŸ˜›

  • ninta

    im at school atm so cant realy watch it :).

  • kaguzuchi

    @ObrokenO

    I didn’t call you an ass. I said you are making yourself look like one. “Can ya likea learnaa… to spell properly”…..that seems as bad as making fun of a mentally challenged person to me. Not saying that the person you were making fun of is mentally challenged.

  • Brian

    @ Power 2 All
    Thank you for explaining how the video was encoded.

    @Kristen
    Thank you for letting me know where the problem is.

    @ the group
    Thank you for always doing a good job at bring anime to the fans here in the US

  • Raijenki

    @Everybody:
    Just shut up and go watch subs.

  • Brian

    @ Power 2 All
    When I re encode the video it works fine and also 29.970 fps is the norm for NTSC broadcasts and that is what frame rate I use. Like Kristen said the problem is on the variable frame rate used in the encoding it just hogs too much of my resources to play that way of encoding. my computer has a 2,8 ghz P4 in it with 2gb of ram if I had a better computer it would be a different story.

  • Brian

    @ Raijenki
    I have watched all the one I am into right now. Waiting for new ones to come out.

  • rickyold

    Yay, thanks as always.

  • xcez

    i love this anime soo much
    thanks for the hardwork

  • @Brian:
    23.976FPS should use up less resources then 29.97FPS.
    SInce it has to show less FPS then the last one.
    It depends in what bitrate it’s encoded which could take your resources down the drain ^^
