There likely won’t be a third season ever unless Minori makes a visual novel in the series, as the original material is now exhausted.
Don’t worry. Next year we should get a second season for Haruhi Suzumiya and a Munto follow-up from Kyoto Animation. Personally, I’d like to see a new season for EF, but not likely to happen the next year. I dream for a Kanon sequel since 2006, but as you can see none in view for that one either. What can I say: life sucks and than sucks some more:D

I don`t now if I`m the only one but everytime I see that an anime is going to end I feel a little sad.
I think that animes and mangas are something special. Many people how never watched
animes thinks it`s something for kids but I think the opposite.
I think if someone belive in animes and mangas, they can show one a wonderful world. This seems strange but in my case, animes gived me hopes. I mean if you are at a point where you want to give up and then you watch an anime and the main character fight for his own dreams even if the situation is impossible, this can make one happy.
Many people how don`t now why they live, can go on with their live because the now they can find an anime in the web.
My opinion is that all the people how do fansubs in their own free time a great guys.
You don`t now how many people can find hopes in this world because you do this.
Not only you guys from Chihiro but everyone else how works for us are really great peoples.
And that you do this shows that in this world are people how cares about others.

I can’t believe Chihiro actually took the time to properly fansub a series, but I’m glad they did for this series because I want to get the best experience from the subs and anime I’m watching. Chihiro has some pretty dedicated fansubbers unlike men****e so thxs for spending the holidays and these past months subbing such an amazing series, Happy holidays!

Arigato Chihiro for everything you’ve done with ef (and others). It truly was a great series, and your subbing made it that much more enjoyable. I must agree with everyone else and thank euronymous for the work on the karaokes!
Melodies was amazing, having a slightly darker atmosphere than Memories, but both are real masterpieces. ef really teaches lessons about life and following your dreams, and I will keep close those lessons, and the feelings I experienced while watching ef, with me as I continue to walk onwards toward the future.
I feel sad that it’s over, but I’m sure your other projects may relieve me of my sorrow. Once again, a job well done, and continue the awesome work! Have a Happy New Year! >_I

I agree entirely. And to expand on your comment: I think anime and manga in general is highly underrated by general society. I cant blame them either, due to how its presented; most people will think something perverted or unrealistic cartoons. But in the end books, movies, tv shows, plays, and ANIME are all the same but presented in different mediums. People put lots of effort, time, and emotions in their work.
Obviously anyone reading this knows what im talking about, so next time somebody talks trash or discards anime in a negative way, you know what to say =]
it’s because when you first watch ef, you expect ecchi.
But this series proves anime is more then ecchi and action.
And in what a way.

awww i hate when a anime ends, its soo sad. I agree with JTDR the anime its much more than just fan service [though sometimes its appreciated] of for kids. I really love this kind of anime that the main focus its the story. It really gives you strength to fight for your dreams.
I wanna thank chihiro cuz they made possible for me to watch this great anime since i live in mexico and the anime its hardly known unless its pokemon hehe. You did a great effort chihiro!

Thanks for completing this great anime. Of coourse, all the other animes you guys have subbed deserves thanks too, but it’s just that ef is my favourite. =]
And I second what JTDR and onlylunch2 said above. I know for one that I’ve learned a lot from watching anime and reading mangas. I’m not exaggerating but it was a big step in terms of maturing myself.
As much as we like sequels, I think this is it. It’s been a blast, but there isn’t likely to be another season for greats like EF or Kanon for the sole reason that there’s no more source material.
Yuuko and Mizuki turned out to be as tragic as Chihiro, if not more so…
There’s not much to say. You guys did an awesome job with this anime. All those Karaokes, or how you handled that one episode where Yuuko revealed what happened between her and her brother. Simply amazing, you guys score 12 out of 10. You should be awarded or something.
As for what JTDR said, I completely agree.
Animes, movies, novels, mangas, or simple animations are all the same – animes are simply underrated.

In reality a feather appears as plain and dull. In animes you tend to think of it as a symbol, because they’re always snow white :3 I probably sound extremely stupid saying this, but oh well ;D Or how snow is -indeed- presented as something wonderful remaining that pure white colour all the way.
Or how every colour is presented. In reality it’s just not special anymore, because we’re used to reality.
It’s just different, and it’s quite hard for me to get my point across.
I hope there’s someone who does understand what I mean, and eventually agrees ;P
This series was simply wonderful, and I really hope for a third season even though I’m well aware that it’s unlikely.

I would not really want a 3rd season with the same characters tho. If they have the same characters, they would be stretching the storyline quite a bit and…It may not turn out as good as you expected. =P

conclave-mendoi did a good enough job on it.
@Jeckler, ascendancy: conclave-mendoi subs have been used by niizk when they did memories’ DVDs. Make sure you grab niizk eps (DVD-rips) instead of C&M (TV-rips). And I don’t think Chihiro should redo what’s already done (quite good) by another group. Subbing new other series would be more efficient IMO.
@Chihiro: no “official” batch yet? Are you preparing v2’s or what? Remember that if you don’t release your own batch, fans’ll do it anyway. And who knows how experienced in torrent making they’ll be. I, for example, wouldn’t want to DL a torrent w/ renamed files, 4MB pieces or without ed2k links…

Thank you so much for subbing this wonderfull series, I’m sad it ended (Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want this series to be stretched out.) but I had a great ride and I’m completely satisfied~
Both seasons of ef made the fall seasons from both 2007 and 2008 wonderfull, it’s kinda sad to think fall season 2009 won’t have any ef ( Though they really shouldn’t make another season without any new orginal material.)
Are you going to release 1080p version encoded from blu-rayy? I want it so much.
