@ windstar: unless theres a cccp for mac vlc seems to be a decent second, not to mention it can play more than just .mkv’s.
Use Mplayer on a mac.
We do not and never have supported VLC. We believe it is a crappy playback solution, and will not support it. Stop expecting us to do so.
Then could you please direct me to a better player (other than CCCP b/c its not for a mac which is what i use for everyday things), because so far i have had very little success in finding alternatives to VLC (for the record i’m not promoting VLC, the fact is its one of the only few choices for macs). Also i don’t expect anything from anyone.

I’m using the latest release of CCCP with MPHC on WinXP and I still don’t get any subtitles. What am I doing wrong? I didn’t havy any trouble with last episode. The subtitles right-click menu is just grayed out.

@the whole playing .mkv on a mac. There’s a quicktime component called Perian that lets you play .mkv with subtitles using quicktime. It works better than VLC or MPlayer for me. Heres a link: http://www.perian.org/

Umm is it just me or can’t somebody else get the subtitles to work either? What font(s) does chihiro use? I use vlc and every other video is playing smoothly but this one for some reason doesnt have subtitles. ;_; Please answer fast I have waited for an week. >.>
