rawr, Chihiro ftw, I don’t know y ppl like SFW thier font is horrible. Translation-wise they on par with you guys =)). Adding I don’t like thier fansub-name, kinda a disgrace doesnt sound like they realli give a crap about subbing. Fansubbing should be and only for people who wub anime =))

@Aaron: (My personal method: mkvextract of MKVtoolnix to extract subs, AllToAvi to make a subless .avi (and/or use mkvmerge first to make a subless .mkv, though it’s faster to just set AllToAvi to not include the subtitles), then AVI ReComp to overlay (?) the subtitles on the subless .avi .)
(Important to have as many as possible of the subtitle fonts that are mentioned in the subtitle file (in one of two ways), as Arial will be used instead of all subtitle fonts not installed. Pretty sure this applies to the XviD4PSP option as well. *should probably check that and compare, now understanding that cause and having a reason to test it for something other than font preservation*)
*finds doing so very useful; speaking of which, should check previous comment threads as well to try to learn why the Gendai Mahou .mkv s go back to the beginning (without sound) once the opening song is reached*
(*in any case, immense gratitude for the creation of subtitled episodes who control this website*)

The Xvid for Gendai Mahou 4 is weird
The Xvid the sound is timed incorrectly
For the Xvid version. Something’s wrong with the sound
The Xvid one >.> the sound timing is wrong >.> pls fix it
The XVid version has an entiretly different soundtrack, sounds to me like it belongs to a hentai release.
For people wanting to use the ep 4 xvid just set the audio delay to -90000 ms, or to whatever is appropiate for your player to specify a minute and a half of video skip. The audio track _is_ from this episode, it’s just that it’s missing both the op and the ed.
from the looks of it when they encoded the XVid they used the audio file from the MKV files and since those are using ordered chapters it is missing the OP and ED audio so the timing is off :p
yeah xvid needs a rerelease. ep 3 is fine at least 😀
If you don’t want to wait, here is the trick I used.
Open Up Windows Movie Maker and import Ep. 3. drag it inot the video timeline and the audio timeline but have the audio start a minute and a half later. For precise timing, zoom in all the way on the timeline. when you have it perfect, split the audio at the end of the preview of the next episode. Yes you won’t get the audio for the preview, but you can read the subtitles.
