Patch doesn’t quite work?? The 04 xvid still plays weirdly 😐
The patch says ” ‘exdelta3.exe’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,operatable program or batch file. ”
What should I do or what program am I missing
1. Download this: http://xdelta.googlecode.com/files/xdelta3.0u.x86-32.exe
2. Rename to xdelta3, copy it into the patch directory along with the 04 video.
3. Click the batch file ‘n’ follow the instructions.
4. ?????
5. PROFIT!!

here is what I did for the xvid I got the OP, ED, and Ep 4 MKV’s extracted the audio from them then useing movie maker combined then back together with the video from the AVI file so I get the Audio from the MKV’s and the video and subs from the AVI.
What the hell, the patch still not working.

I use fansubs as I can’t translate myself, my comp isn’t up to the job and I have no idea how to do it……. So why the hell should I have to download a faulty file and a patch they’ve released and do half the job myself? Bugger that for a laugh. I’ll just find a fansubber that does the job properly!
Thanks for the hard work in the past Chihiro, but you’ve really let it slip recently with your xvid/sd hate and slow/faulty releases, so thanks and goodbye!
I agree with Bob, i’m quite not satisfied with the recent subs, although I enjoyed the past works was amazing. However please, take this as a constructive crictism instead of bashing. Please support more XviD/AVI release properly,I’m fully aware that MKV is better(it still has it’s flaws though) but mostly on PC viewing, they are large group who uses their PS3/XBOX 360/Entertainment Hub to watch their animes on TV screen and currently only supports AVI,MP4,WMV,MPG,DIVX and so forth. If the subbers really hate the AVI format so much please stop releasing it and make an official annoucement stating that you no longer support the format and be done with it so they could look else where.

I’m fully aware they’re doing it for free, kudos to that. More reason for them to drop the XviD/AVI version if they don’t want to do it since it’s something they don’t seem to be enjoy doing it. Simple. Rather than hoping for a release or a decent quality for that particular format.

No matter what I do it says xdelta3: file open failed
and nothing happens
am kinda wondering if there’s also a good source for the 00 episode and if so…
would you guys mind re-releasing it with that better source then? cause the 00 episode really sucked balls…
@ Hellknight : What a charming individual you are! I appreciate that it is unpaid work, and I truly appreciate the work they have done in the past. I am just very dissapointed to get most of the way through a series only to find that I can’t watch the last 2 eps as they have suddenly decided to stop doing the xvid/sd release!

For those of you still confused (as I was), follow along slowly.
1 Download the patch file from the address above (http://www.mediafire.com/?q2gc22em2f1)Use Firefox, don’t use Windows IE. Save it in a new folder someplace convenient, so you can find it easily.
2 Unrar (unzip) the downloaded file into this new folder.
3 Copy and paste the bad avi file into this folder also. This is so you won’t lose the original download if you screw something up (like me).
4 Read the “Readme!.txt” file. Looks easy, yes?
5 Open the bat file (double-click on “[Chihiro]_Yoku_Wakaru_Gendai_Mahou_-_04v2_patch.bat” , or right-click on it, then click “open”)
6 Press a key. Wait patiently until you are asked to press a key again.
7 The new 04v2 version should have magically appeared in the new folder. Play it. Is it OK?
8 If you tried the time shifting trick suggested by conman or bythexvid, make sure you reset that time back to zero (or whatever you normally use) Try to play it again. Is it OK now?
9 If it is OK, cut and paste this new 04v2 file into its final destination.
10 When finished, delete the new folder you made for this work. You do not need it now.

I followed pudzrus’ instructions exactly but the bat says the patch fails. Anyone have the fixed file available for DDL? (Xvid one of course)

You need to copy the bad .avi file into the same folder as the .bat file, otherwise the patch won’t work.
And thanks Chihiro team, I’ve finally found a third anime that has caught my interest this season!

@Wiseman84: That’s what I did. I had it in the same folder as the .bat file. When I double-clicked the .bat file and it asks you to press any key, I do that. Then it says that it cannot find the [insert name extension here] file, even though it is right there in the patch.
I’ve also tried copying everything into a brand new folder (as pudzrus suggested) and did the same thing. Still gets that error message that a few people got above.
Do you, or anyone else, happen to have the fixed complete ep. 04 file (avi) that you, or anyone, could upload to like Megaupload or rapidshare?
