  • legendaryguy

    In the post for Ep1

  • James

    j/k guys I know you’re trying, thanks

  • whatsthis

    Kuu-chan?
That’s not how you spell bulbasaur

Is anyone having trouble playing this release. MPlayer is giving me errors
    Slice of the log:
    [h264 @ 0107B8F4]AVC: nal size 163073
    [h264 @ 0107B8F4]no frame!
    Error while decoding frame!

Too many audio packets in the buffer: (4099 in 2061833 bytes).
Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed?
For AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option.

    Eps 1-3 all fine.

Blazewardog: Use a newer build of mplayer, if you don’t know how to compile your own and are on an apt-get distro, use the build script linked in various places.

  • Raybrig

@ThanatosX, same here but without the error message. i’m using a KMP player, there’s no video, just the audio part comes out. i tried EP 1-3 they are just fine, only for this ep4. Dunno what the problem too.

  • great episode

sorry for this question but going to ask u something u probely allready explained it, but i missed it.

ne reason there r no op in the last 2 episode? found it somewhat wierd that there isnt ne op nemore..

You need to place the downloaded file into the same directory to where the OP and ED is. This is the so called, Ordered Chapters.

  • Anonymouse Coward

I’ve gotten it to work on mplayer by upgrading to the latest June release. It’s under Linux, so you’re mileage may vary.

It seems to be a problem with the old behaviour of demuxer=mkv. Putting demuxer=mkv in my conf file breaks it again, so you might try putting “demuxer=lavf” into your ~/.mplayer/conf (or wherever Windows puts it). It’s the opposite of what’s listed on the mplayerhq homepage to turn off the new default behaviour.

But I’ve got other problems with the newer version. ASS subtitles start doubling if I rewind the video. I can get them to cover the screen.

  • daabuu

@Raybrig You need to update KMPlayer to version 2.9.4.1437. I had the same problem and updating to the new version helped.

  • Raybrig

@daabuu, got the file working somehow, i downloaded the latest CCCP and got it playing using MPlayer Classic. Gonna dload the KMPlayer build 1437 now, just love KMPlayer interface. thanks. btw Ep 4 is good. =)

  • Geese1

Downloading now – thanks for the release!

The video problems have to do with the latest build of mkvmerge, (4.2.0). The author, by default, is enabling muxing compression on all files now (although it only saves a couple of bytes). This breaks playback compatibility for a lot of players (mplayer and smplayer fail in playing it for me, only vlc works). I’ve found that remuxing the file and disabling video compression fixes the playback errors.
Blazewardog: It only breaks old builds of mplayer so just update it

  • anon

Same things here – remux with mkvmerge 4.1.0 and everything goes fine.

  • ThanatosX

This worked, thanks heaps. I used mkvmerge v4.2

For others trying to do the same get mkvtoolnix
    http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/downloads.html

Add file to input in mkvmerge.
It will then list all the tracks in the file. Select each in turn and set compression to none under extra options.
Start muxing. Done. Took ages to find the correct option, their faq tells what to do not how.

    Hope this helps.

  • animetakeuser

Please post the 720p file on animetake using whatever file sharing service you prefer (Megaupload, filesend, hotfile, etc) . Thank you

  • Redwuff

Completely broken in Mac OSX x64. Compiled codec updates are a bit behind the curve, and the current file will not play under the latest versions of any video player I have, including MPlayer OSX Extended or VLC (both of which rarely have trouble with anything) with the most recent x64 codecs.

I don’t have the tools in OSX to remux this per the above instructions. I’d greatly appreciate it if a version with no muxing compression were posted, and if this encoding doesn’t get used for future files; I suspect I’m not going to be the only Chihiro fan who’s going to have problems with this.

Thanks for all the hard work!

Blazewardog: According to CyberMirage’s testing, it works in 32-bit OSX only if the OP/ED are present. Try making sure they are present, and or using the testing build of Mplayer OSX Extended or build your own copy of mplayer-uau (Should be able to just modify this to work with ports (Bascially just install git-core, the mplayer build-deps shouldn’t be needed I would guess))

    CM: I was poking it more, and it actually works fine as long as it isn’t in the root harddrive, regardless of where the OP/ED are… This is starting to confuse me more… try dragging to the desktop? <_<;

  • Mak

I’m going to echo Redwuff’s sentiments. I just spent the last half hour or so trying to get it to work in Mac OS X with no success.

  • DDLs are up on animetake now. Sorry for the delay. This was released right after I went to bed last night, so sleep+work+slow upload speed happened. I’ll start uploading Ui-chan 17 now.

  • CyberMirage

    http://jonthn.free.fr/MKVtoolnix/Mkvtoolnix-4.2.0_2010-07-28-5549.dmg

Mac users can use that to remux. v2 possible, depending on the encoder.

IGNORE THAT, JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE OP AND ED IN THE SAME PLACE.

  • animetakeuser

thanks for the update boku – now i can see Sekirei ep 4

  • kotaku

so does the one on hotfile etc work without tweaking things?

Love your work guys. can’t wait to fap this one out.

  • kotaku

^sorted it for MACOSX with MKV toolnix as described. Thanks and Thanks! let the fap begin ahahaha *rubs hands*

  • Varthn

I have updated both MPC and VLC and neither is playing the episode properly. MPC screen just gets scrambled and VLC gets about 90 sec in and then starts over with no volume…..

  • James

just watched ep5….it’s gonna get good

  • Nojiko

    ty for the release

  • Kokin

DDL works with KMPlayer 2.9.4.1435, though with the same version, the torrent was just a black screen with audio. Thanks for the release!

  • Al

All my hardware players do not show video in ep.4, neither WD nor Seagate nor Popcorn… ๐Ÿ™

  • Shadow

Why is this episode a lot more censored than previous episodes I”ve seen?

  • Bill

    ^
That’s a good question; why IS this episode much more censored? Is it the source of the episode or is it added by the sub groups?

Yeah, the groups are really going to add censoring to something. That won’t people mad at us at all XD

  • Dtemplar

Um, I’m having issue with Sekirei ordered chapter on MPC-HC 1.3.2121.0 on XP. The video freezes immediately at position when the OP/ED was supposed to. If I forward past the OP/ED, then the main episode play fine. Note that it’s specifically to Sekirei’s ordered chapter only, the K-On’s ordered chapter works fine.
I think the OP/ED was working in ep1v1 but I deleted it when v2 appeared.

  • Bill

with regards to censoring, I recall an episode of High School of the Dead where one group had it censored while another group had it uncensored (i think the scene only had groping anyways), but it was still censored.

Groups may choose to use an earlier censored raw to to release faster. That’s about the only reason some groups will differ. Other then that, no (non-troll) group is going to be stupid enough to mess with an episode like that. It’ll just cause people to get pissy at them.

  • Dtemplar

That HotD example is seriously flawed. Your opinion is totally uninformed, had you checked the FAQ at gg website you should have known this:
    “Q) Is your release censored?
    A) Yes. All of the airings of HotD are censored. (Afaik.) We use a channel called AT-X. AT-X airs HotD first. The next airing is Tokyo MX which is roughly 1.5 days after AT-X. In other words, if a release comes out within 1.5 days after it first airs, the only place it can come from is AT-X. Tokyo MX is also censored.”
It is a known fact that the censor are added by the ppl produce the show to suit the TV station they want the show to air on. Show air on AT-X have less or no censor compare to other channel. That’s a fact.
Sekirei air on Tokyo MX is the latest and potentially is the only main RAW/TS source so there’s none of this ‘extra censoring’ you’re saying (the other TV station being KBS Kyoto which air the show nearly 2 days later).
Next time, inform yourself so that other don’t have to waste their time responding to this kind of non sense.

  • YB

    @Blazewardog:

Sorry Dude, got the latest version of smplayer and it’s still not working

  • Bill

    @Dtemplar

Thanks for the informative post ๐Ÿ™‚

  • VinceNoir

I cannot get this to work, I am using the latest version of MplayerOSX Ext with git. All that plays is the OP and ED, nothing that I actually want to see. I would like to see this ep but I cannot get it to play. I can only get sound on my other players that worked on previous files. If anyone can help that would be appreciated.

  • rawr

Just use “Movist” if VLC or MPlayer doesn’t work [mac osx]

  • VinceNoir

    @rawr: thanks, Movist worked.

  • Lebon14

@ThanatosX : Thx a bunch. This episode was crappily encoded ยฌยฌ
