Yay! 3 years ago on this day, we released Geass R2 episode 03, our first release. Since then, we have worked on at least 2 shows a season without break. In fact, with the recent breaks that Eclipse and DB have taken, we are the longest continual fansub group in existence. Note that while there are older groups (gg, Anbu, for instance), they are not continual due to ragequits and disbandings.
So… cake?

Isn’t StaticSubs older as well? Not sure if they actually been active every single season, but I do think so. Though not always 2 shows / season.
Other then that, does sound true. Chihiro is probably one of the oldest and living groups around.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Kaizoku-fansubs and Doremi-fansubs have been running for a lot longer then you.
Groups working only on residual shows (stuff that aired last season or earlier) were counted as inactive during that time. Doremi was in this state in fall 2008, Kaizoku is presently 194 episodes (2.5 years or so) behind.
