Cool. Disliked Doremi’s no-honorifics policy for Suite. Hope you stick with this one to the end.
Do you plan on doing the usual “XviD for mahou shoujo shows” release, or are you going to go 720p all the way?
I’ve never watched any of these precure shows before. Am I boned or is this a standalone story with no connection to the previous shows except for the setting?
@Beckett: All Pretty Cure shows are standalone, except for Pretty Cure Max Heart and Yes Pretty Cure 5 GoGo, which are direct sequels to the seasons immediately before them. So you can start watching the original 2004 series, Splash Star, Yes Pretty Cure 5, Fresh, Heartcatch, Suite, or Smile in any order without missing anything from not seeing other seasons.
It’s kind of like going between the various Gundam AUs like Universal Century, Wing, X, Turn A, Seed, or 00. Similar premises, similar characters, some things in common, but not directly related.

Woah, amazing stuff guys.
Regarding Smile itself, I find that this one in particular to be kind of a mash up of Heartcatch and Yes! Precure 5. The first episode and the protagonist is really, really reminiscent of Tsubomi.
For those new to the franchise, I’d suggest starting off with Heartcatch, which is one of the best in my opinion.
If you guys stick with this ’til the end then you’ll actually be my favourite subbing group. I’m so happy you’re doing this 🙂

No. If your computer can’t play 10bit it belongs in a museum. My 6 year old laptop with a 1.83GHz Core Duo can play 10bit just fine.
Guys just curious; are you using raws or are encoding from transport stream?

We don’t use share raws unless we absolutely have no choice. Our Precure is encoded by Kristen herself.
