Each year, some 45-46 million turkeys get brutally slaughtered so that they may be then shoved into an oven and devoured by hungry humans. For comparison, that is like the entire states of California, Oregon, and Washington, being swallowed by the ocean. This brutal day, which many celebrate, does not have to continue being such a brutal painful day for our feathered friends. Today, at your meals, join the protest. Eat sweet potatoes, stuffing, bread, ham, pizza, or whatever you want. Just, no matter what you do, don’t eat the turkey!

Smoked ham is pretty good. Smoked turkey is ok, but it’s hard to keep it from drying out in the smoker.
