I knew i saw it before. i liked that anime. it remind of karekano no jijou which i didn’t finish not because it was bad or anything i just couldn’t find them. started on them too late.

I can’t do Horrible on this. Everything’s fine and dandy in 1080Land, but them using Master instead of Hubby (from the Prettyanon scans) or anything else when Papi refers to Kimihito is just going to kill it.
… I have misplaced standards.
“Master” is a fair enough translation for “goshuujin”, right? I’m guessing it’s closer than “hubby”. Only problem is they also use “master” for what Cerea calls Kimihito. It doesn’t bother me -that- much since I can hear what they call him.
I know, but with two of them calling him the same thing translation-wise, it’ll get a little confusing especially when the multi-way quarrels begin.
Goshuujin actually means “the main person of household”
with sama makes him master (maids and bulters) because you’re making him in much higher status than needed.
If you’re gonna be picky on what nicknames are, why not suggest those from the official English translation from seven seas?
Miia calls him “Darling” in english so no ambiguity there
Papi calls him “Boss”
Cerea calls him “Milord”
Suu is calls him “Master” on the rare occasion she speaks
Mero calls him “Beloved”
Rachnea calls him “Honey”
There’s also the collective term from the monster-beings. CR uses “Demi-human” while Seven seas uses “Linimal”

I actually felt the same prior to watching the episode. Give it a try, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

So at first I was going to pass on watching this show. But thanks to a good taste intervention by my BF, I watched the first episode (kinda sorta) I did watch it properly just now. I must say, I am hooked. When I read the preview for Monmusu I was expecting shallow fan-service with weak plot and an idiot male MC. (Think post S1 ToLoveRu.) Turned out to be nothing of the sort. The story is sweet, it’s much easier to get past, nay, accept the whole “monster girl(s)” thing then I imagined. Miia’s character is genuinely cute and likable. The male MC is also good. While at first he did show signs of the dreaded “Harem Anime dense male MC” and even *dread* “Shinji Ikari” luckily it was just a facade and he’s no Shinji. A certain human against human punch (Don’t wanna get agent Smith pissed.) scene had sealed it…This guy, I like him xD

That was a dirty trick. You got my hopes up, what with me being a sukebe/hentai human male. Just kidding. Thanks for picking up this show, if it has censorship galore, then I’ll wait for the blu-rays. I abhor censorship in any form, and here I live in the USA which was founded to oppose censorship yet is one of the worst offenders. I know I complain about Japanese Censorship, but I know we could not get any studio in the USA to consider making any of the ecchi shows made in Japan. That means we have an even bigger problem here. I guess that is the price we pay for having such a strong influence from the Protestants at our founding and with the rise of religious fundamentalists dating back to the Great Revival period just before the American Civil War. It’s a shame that the ideals of the Founding Members of the Constitution, and Government, have been complete ignored or even had the history rewritten to hide their ideals; i.e., today most people believe the Founding Fathers were Christian Protestants who followed the teachings of the bible and founded this country based on its’ teachings. If only people cared enough to know the facts, then maybe this would not be country that has been taken over by Monetary Oligarchs. Sorry, I went off on a tangent thanks to my disgust at the thought of censorship. Don’t take my word for it, look for yourselves. As the Science Channel has begun proclaiming with its’ motto, “Question Everything”.
