Obviously, the girls in their pajamas has significance. Hiori wears a button down shirt and shorts as we saw in a previous episodes (obscured by the table) representing her separated life. Ruka wears a single nightgown with a belt, which shows how she appears to have her life together, but really needs support to keep it from coming apart. And Miyako’s long nightgown shows the extended agony of her life thus far. Very symbolic scene!
