I side with Miiy…I’ve played this episode on my VLC & MPC vid players…jerky video and about half-way in the subs turn to shit…maybe one line vs 3-5 lines of dialogue.
If that’s what we’re gonna get from Chihiro…I’ll pass.
After 14:00 the video messed up completely.
thats why i stick to xvid, most important for me is not the quality, if i can watch it smoothly with video and sound sync.. its good, even if it has normal colors.. since i dnt use HD LCD monitor :p
What are you talking about? I’ve watched the H264 version and had no problems at all.
It’s the same for me. Around 14:15 the video, audio and subs all get mixed up and this is a clean Windows XP install with a high end system and all the latest codecs.
I’m watching it over and over again at around 14:15 and it always plays well. Obviously the H264 has no problems if I can play it. It’s probably a system-wise problem.
Playing it with the CCCP codecs in full screen at 1600×1050 resolution and I don’t have problems.

And I want to take this opportunity to thank you Chihiro…you’re really doing a great `job`!:D…(finding Chihiro made my fansub searching days a lot easier, you seem to sub almost everything I want to watch:D)
(p.s. on a side note…I have the H264 version, played it at 1920×1200 res using MPC and there’s not problem at all (for me of course) around 14:15…)

I use SMPlayer it works better than VLC most of the time…never had a problem (also allows resize and styling of subtitle fonts)

Same here, I watched nearly all of Chihiro’s releases in HD format MKV & i had no lag, either that or i did not notice it, and my computer is decent:
-AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ (2.40Ghz)
-1Gb Ram
-GeForce 8500GT 1Gb Graphics
But in my opinion the best results i have had playing my anime in is with video playin thru WMP using DirectVobSub & Haali Media Splitter (Whatever that is, it just appears when i play anime in WMP) Tried CCCP Pack, completly cocked my settings & non off the subs worked correctly last time i tried it so would highly recommend K-Lite Mega Codec Pack – It will play ANYTHING & EVERYTHING, as long as you set it to install everything & install it correctly!!! If ya wanna give K-Lite Mega Codec Pack a try heres the link:

Like said any probs with video or sound, uninstall CCCP & get this, prob will probably be solved with this, but its up to your pc though : )

No offence to anyone, but you DO realize that if some people, me included, can play the episode fine, then the chances that those who can not play it have something on their system that prohibits that?
It does not mean that the file is broken or anything. It also does not mean that there is something wrong with your PC. My PC can not play [StrikeS] releases of Strike Witches or Kemeko Deluxe, and [Formulas] version of the second Shugo Chara OP crashes my player. But I know that it’s my PCs fault. Why can’t you people admit the same?

I have CCCP + MPC + CoreAVC, i play all of my vids and all of the realeases of chihiro, but this episode doesn’t work here, i had the same problem of the others…

FYI, the Zero_Raws are exactly like this release (at least where I spot checked them). I downloaded both of their versions from the two sources they had.
