Why does it seem there is always an episode where they get a guest director or something that totally changes the animation style for one or two episodes? Granted, they are usually smother/higher quality, but it just doesn’t feel like the show anymore.
But at least my Aoi was still there kickin ass.

Not to sound like I’m complaining (though I am, a little), but why does it always take so long to release the xvid version? Honest curiosity here.
I can answer that. Beacuse the h264 version is softsubbed, the actuall audio/video part can be encoded before the script is even finished. Therefore, when the scripts is done and timed, all that is left is to mux it into the file.
The xvid, on the otherhand, needs to wait for the script to be finished and timed before an encode can be made.
The only time the xvid came out first was when something went wrong with the encode of the h264 and we had to do it again.
In addition, because this is variable frame rate, each encode needs to be encoded from scratch, since .avi containers do not support VFR. That means we have to re-do the filters and stuff for the XviD.
Oh. Ok then~ Thank you for the work–and for the xvid, which I see was just released. <3
Please don’t use that awful sharpen – episode 36 was much better encoded. (Don’t mind if it was raw’s rault and not yours.)
I don’t see a reason to use avi for xvid if it gives you so much trouble with filters – xvid in mp4 or mkv won’t be any slower than in avi.

the comment about the raw. well firstly I didnt encode this ep and second the shitsen raws have big macroblock issues so frankly I prefer to avoid then :/
The PD raws were in fact better but I think kristen was stuck wit ha shitsen raw this time around so if theres macroblocking that might be why. I’ll get started on the next ep and will make it nice quility for u guys 🙂
