@mX: DmonHiro is right. We really don’t care about anyone’s views on XviD and why we should or should not do it. But it annoys us to see complaints or demands for XviD because it clutters away attention from more important comments, and it’s annoying to be asked the same thing over and over and over again.

@Kristen: Its true that its your guys choice to do it or not, but IF many ppl asked for Xvid, would you guys still ignore it? I like(d) chihiro very much for it translations, quality and especially for doing the Xvids.

2. make a liltle tut how to convert mkv to Avi(Xvid) with the ordered chapters, I already can convert mkv to Xvid, but Ive never done it with ordered chapters.

I’m working on a tutorial to begin with for that. The ordered->unordered is extremely complicated and time consuming, though. I’d suggest taking the SD and converting that to XviD instead of the HD, since SD has no ordered chapters.
And if you want to know if we’d still ignore the requests for XviD, just look at this thread, and then look at the results. No XviD version.

I really don’t care about anyone’s opinion, i just like the fact Chihiro released in .h264, and xvid. If you guys won’t do it any more. I will just hope someone else will. I don’t even care about the reason why you guys won’t, or haven’t. I just prefer xvid, for my own reasons, and loved Chihiro for putting them out. It made them stand out as a great subbing group. who looked out for their fans. Thanks for the subs, as always.

Hey that mX is imitating my style–and in all the wrong way. Not to mention, s/he’s foul-mouthed.
Well, I think this anime is awesome. I love the music, and the charatcers are great. Not to mention that the director is the same one from Nanoha A’s so I can’t wait for the battles. It’s gonna be awesome. The’re gonna fight almost all of episode 3.
I love this series so far, and thanks for your hard work at translating. I myself love mkv/mp4 versions. If it’s mkv I just demux it put it in a mp4 container and re-encode to hardsub it, so I can stream it to my xbox and watch it on my tv. I also have no problem watching it on my computer, which I always do to see if I enjoy it enough to do the re-encodes. Again, thanks for all your hard work guys/gals.

Great series so far. I love your subs as always. I have a problem playing the episodes though. The video freezes up in the middle of the episodes a lot and get off with the audio.. I thought it was my encoding speed, and I DLed Core Codec to use with Media Player Classic Homecinema. It’s supposedly the fastest encoder/decoder for h.264. The problem still happens. Any suggestions? It’s getting pretty annoying to have to keep rewinding and watching.
Animeswordmaster, you have an less powerful PC that is incapable of playing HD. There are two solutions. First you can live with the audio issues, or you can DL the SD version. Or you can buy a more powerful computer.
Really? lol. It’s a Dual-Core Processor xD. What’s the difference between the SD and HD versions again?
SD is 720×480 anamorphic, so it’s easier to play. HD is 1280×720, so more information is transmitted per second.
There’s also a possibility your computer is being slowed down by something, such as spyware or unnecessary programs (or Vista :p)

I guess I’ll have to settle for SD then. Has anyone checked out chieftan’s xxvid releases? Are they the same subs as Chihiro’s? If so, I might just watch those instead.

If you graphic card can support dxva, just enable it and it can play seamlessly.
Ok I really don’t know what a dxva is xD. I just watch the anime. I don’t go into so much detail graphic wise xD.
ok. I expain a little about dxva though u don’t really mind about it.
@DxVA technology allows DirectShow based decoders to accelerate video playback directly on the graphics processors(GPU) instead of the main CPU, thus reducing the CPU usage.

I been using this and never had any problem watching anime, even the anime is full HD. If I using my cpu to process the video, I don’t think I can play the video smoothly. Gud Luck!!!
@chihiro could you give some short instructions on how to convert them to xvid for xbox, ps3, …?
i found one way but the fonts and stuff become times new roman… which no one wants on anime…
