well not to jump to conclusions but why are you doing hayate now? Eclipse is all ready doing Hayate and they are doing a great job at it. And arn’t you guys/gals allready are behind on your episodes.

While there’s no way in hell I’ll go with any other group than Eclipse, Chihiro are of course free to sub whatever show they want. Makes sense to me to sub shows you enjoy rather than shows the leechers think you should sub.

Yeah, well, i don’t know how this will work out. Eclipse is already doing Hayate as you might already know and i see no reason why you should sub this.
I go with a mixture of first come first serve and groups that i know that can deliver good quality at a decent speed: K-On and Tiara from Coalguys, Hayate and FMA from Eclipse, Valkyria from AnY, Pandora from mochi, Phantom and Saki from underwater, Hatsukoi and Hana from m.3.3.w and Asura from you, but i might change that to AniYoshi, not sure yet. Queen’s Blade gets subbed from SFW, these are plenty good enough for such a series.

wow, what’s up with all the hate? They do this for the community for free. If you don’t like it, then you don’t have to watch it. For me anyways, Chihiro seems a bit more personal with their releases unlike other fansub groups. I will probably end up replacing all the episodes of Hayate that I have with the Chihiro releases. Keep up with the good work guys and gals!
I can’t remark on the quality of subs, cuz i do not speak japanese. I usually judge a group on what they choose to subtitle and eclipse tends to choose anime i like. If i remember correctly Chihiro will sub anything if a translator provides the script. Obviously all the translators couldn’t sub Queen’s blade without gagging so it got dropped. The three anime this month that i can’t avoid watching are K-on!, Saki, and Regios. And the K-on! i prefer is Chihiro’s both because it’s as good as coal guys and because the ordered chapters take less time to download and it delays the time before i have to buy a new external hard drive.

With the amount of loli in this show, why is anyone surprised that Chihiro is subbing it? I think it’s a good fit. If people don’t like it than don’t download, simple as that. Don’t get so offended lol. I really like Eclipse too, but I never knew they had so many people ‘S’ ing their ‘D.
Haha even though it kinda feels unlogical to me to sub the same show (belated) as Eclipse , since Eclipse is one of the greatest groups around, I still can`t understand why you people get so furious about Chihiro subbing it.
Ok, maybe you think (include me in) it is a “stupid” decision to sub the same show as Eclipse after 7weeks when you already got so many projects (belated), but there is no real reason to get angry, is there? It`s their decision. They can do whatever they want. It`s not like you are getting forced to watch hayate from Chihiro.

But yea i watched both same time i have to say they were both good quality however Chihiro won in terms of fan subbing and Quality , i think it was more accurate and clean and also i like how Chihiro used Ojou-sama in stead of Milady, i guess that preference but since i understand most words without having them translated its better to see ojou-sama, Also quality and clean from Chihiro because if u look at those on screen text translations and compare u will see that Chihiro is more compact and clean vs eclipse For karaokei think ill give Eclipse for extra effort cause thier words have petals below the words and hearths in the ed LMAO just thought that was kool to follow. But yeah C-epsidoe 1 vs E-episode 1 = C-ep 1 winner.

Wow, calm down. It’s not their problem that they don’t want to do Xvid. They just wanted to choose something that gives better quality. Xvid was good for its day, but it has already run its course. Regarding QB, again its their choice. If they don’t like the show, then they should have to push themselves through to sub it.

I was about to immediately jump onto the “oversubbed” bandwagon. Then I watched the first half over, constantly comparing Chihiro to SS-Eclipse. Chihiro has: smaller font size, less drop shadow, longer blocks of text. More concise, but harder to read.
There are assorted translation differences; most are minor/inconsequential. One obvious difference is “Ojou-sama” instead of SS-Eclipse’s “Milady”. All-in-all it’s a very solid encode like the competition, so, well done. But…… this is still oversubbing. Why add to confusion when there’s no overwhelming difference?

@bluntklr you need to upgrade man. it’s a good investment. i don’t mind AVI quality for the nostalgia but ever since i started going HD i’ve become addicted. the crisp widescreen high definition quality with good sound encoding on 5.1 surround sound is amazing. blu-ray is the future, dvd’s are going to burn out just like VHS did
@bluntklr – First of all, I didn’t say that Xvid sucks, I said it just didn’t have the quality of what the raws are based on. Second, If you want to be able to play these files on your items, don’t blame the subbers, blame your lack of skill on conversions. If anything, you could ask nicely to Chihiro, and they might be kind enough to give you tips on how to convert H264 into whatever format you want. Finally, when foul language is used, it usually means somebody has something unpleasant up their ass. Don’t blame your own stupidity on others.

@Blunt-whatever, i totally agree with you that xivd does not suck but how about this, try playing both the h.264 and xvid on a 30 inch screen and you will know why people choose to download and not xvid. btw most modern tv has a usb adaptor so that you can connect ur cpu or laptop to it.

Unfortunately, as much as I like Chihiro subs and Hayate, I’m gonna have to stick with Eclipse’s and SS’s version, since they do a damn good job at fansubbing anyways and for the sake of consistency.
However, since I just love Hayate no Gotoku, I probably wouldn’t get bored rewatching ep1. So, I’ll be checking it out anyways. ^_^
I say sub whatever you want to sub, it’s your time and your work, we the beneficiaries of your work don’t really have a leg to stand on complaining or encouraging.
But I am curious why, at least one group joint is working on it (SS-Ecliple) gotta show love to Static Subs they are involved in that project, and I imagine there are a few other groups out there that have been working on this as well since it first aired, so why not go with something that wasn’t getting any love? Or pick a handful of series that weren’t getting love and let the all the flamers and encouraging posters to vote and reduce the likelihood of backtalk.
That having been said, if you plan to continue subbing this series through to the end, especially if it’s going to be another 52 ep season, are you going to sub the OVA aka Season 2 ep 00 or did you do that already and I completely missed the release? I ask since it is somewhat of a transition between the two series albeit not much.
Now I’m thinking that Chihiro is going down, just as Shinsen went a LOOOOOT down….
