Moe is NOT about behavioral type of a character, moe is about what kind of feelings a viewer would get towards the character. Moe character is the one that you want to protect, care, pet, etc. Even if she’s a tsundere. Or despite it…
What’s special about Taiga is that she is a _submissive_ tsundere (unlike Louise or Nagi) – my guess that’s the secret behind her popularity among otakus (admit it, that’s the otaku contest)

Hah, yes, been keeping an eye on that, after seeing the tournament mentioned here last year, when Chihiro Shindou was in the running. (Though I believe she was in it earlier this year, as well?)

Toradora was actually really good, be sure to check it out sometime soon. It’s definitely worth the watch.

Seriously though, Taiga is the shit. She’s really the only reason I kept watching that show. And what the hell? How could she possibly not be moe? She’s a fucking loli with a wooden sword voiced by Kugimiya Rie.
All that said though, I think either of them could deserve to win. I fucking love Yui too, so it’s too hard to choose one to root for.

she’s not dumb, she is the ultimate female – her behavior is based on intuition and feelings, she doesn’t need our male “reasoning” in life – her intuition and instincts are much better. She is above male reasoning, if I may say so.

Well, I can point out several other characters that I’d like to have seen get further or win besides Taiga, but I can’t complain about that with Yui being there. Hopefully she’ll guitar-smash Taiga with her awesome light music powers.

I decide to not pick one. I totally love both and its to pick one. Specially that I like them both.
If it was Mio, maybe, MAYBE. Yui, on the other hand, doesn’t even stand a chance against Taiga. Taiga is cuter than Yui in so many ways, that I’d have trouble listing them all here.
