I have swine flu. Just thought you should know. This is why Hayate blurays have been coming so slowly. 04 and 05 are coming up (I have the disc), but I’m too sick/unmotivated to work on them.
The truth is, I’m a lazy bastard all the time, but being sick gives me an excuse. By the way, I don’t really have swine flu. It’s just the regular flu. Don’t call in the National Guard. D:
P.S. For all the people saying “joking about swine flu is offensive, wahhhhhhhh!” I have two points to make.
1) This is the internet. Get over it.
2) The only people who die from swine flu are the same people who would die from regular flu: old people and infants. Swine flu is really just an overhyped media sensation, and that’s what makes it such a wonderful target to make fun of. Did you know that 36,000 Americans die of the regular flu each year? Here, I’m going to give you a quote, actually:
So far, in the US, 522 people have died of the H1N1 Novel virus, whereas 800 people per week die from the common flu. In fact, the death rate of people hospitalized with common influenza in the US is 18%, while the death rate of diagnosed H1N1 in the US is less than 5%, as seen with the statistics above, making it one third as deadly as the normal flu.

little known fact; the H1N1 virus (swine flu) is so contagious, it can be passed on through .torrents and website cookies, even VOIP and IRCs. be safe; give your personal computer a flu shot (sticking the needle in through a USB port should work, but injecting it through the cooling fan can also have similar results).

I myself have loads of reading material to do and I have exams in December but I am still not getting through the stuff as quickly as I had hoped. That’s me without flu… can you imagine me doing it at all if I did.

About your Railgun episode release. I was wondering about the subtitle placement. Some of it were too high, and you really didn’t break the lines, so the subtitles cover most of the screen. I was hoping you could make your subtitles a little lower and a lot less scattered. It’s not a complain just a suggestion..hehe

I still laugh at 3rd world countries that destroyed countless swine because they heard that the ‘swine’ flu was deadly. Where is the intelligence of a nation? I’m not quite sure if H1N1 is much better a descriptor. To me, it would be pronounced “Hi Nee”, right? Get well soon. swine flu H1N1 is deadly because it is ‘novel’ , ie it has not been around to give people some latent resistance like the seasonal flu from year to year. The target group for seasonal flu is the very young and the very old. H1N1 target group is the middle, primarily 20’s-30’s. That’s why so many of those affected are college students.

Actually the people who are dying the most from swine flu aren’t the old and young, it is the teens and people in their twenties. This is believed to be caused by a cytokene storm reaction of a healthy body’s immune system. It was the same thing that happened during the WWI era pandemic. Word.
That pandemic was bad and it took them weeks to change continents. Now we can change continents in hours. 🙂
