The source doesn’t warrant it, as it doesn’t look like it’s aired in actual HD. Most of the groups are only releasing in SD format for a good reason after all.

uhm, who the hell did translation ? there are many wrongs in this episode in your release, especially at the table scene where Inami is asking if it would be okay to beat the customer up you changed it into some politeness, what gives ? April fools is long due !
also, in the preview you wrote “…and the father that returned home”. In this case the “Otoo-san” is the returning guys name so, it should rather be “…and the returning Otoo-san” or “…and Otoo-san returns”.

This ep for some reason makes my mplayer throw a fit. All errors and menus suddenly have boxes where the letters should be. This is the only ep that causes it, my mplayer works normally on ep 1. Something is really screwed up here, including the translations.
There’re some pretty obvious translation error in this episode, just wondering if there’s going to be a v2. A few of them are already pointed out in previous posts. Some other ones are those with numbers like “violence of 12 people” should be “violence of 10 people” and “table 20’s” should be “table 23”. And the one bit near the end about why customer keeps coming back. It should be “it’s dangerous that it’s addicting” and the response should be “that’s not something to describe a family restaurant” or something alone that line instead of popura being dangerous.
while i normally don’t really care about minor error but these are pretty obvious even to non speaker. But anyway thank you for being the only group that do this properly in timely fashion.
In defense of the “clear the table” line, earlier they made a joke about “clearing them” as a euphemism for ‘getting rid of them in a violent manner’, so the second time when she says “Is it ok if I hit you” the translater could be carrying on the joke. Granted, thats not what she said exactly, but for the english viewer they will understand the meaning.

If the intention is to carry on the joke, then the translation should be “it is okay if I clear your face” or something along that line. Since the intended joke is that the girl blur out what she actually intends to do AND the customer clearly understands it literally. If the utter phrase is “is it okay if I clear the table” as the translation suggest, the second aspect of the joke where the customer is shocked doesn’t make sense at all since the customer isn’t in on the “clearing” joke.

Yea, I was thinking that his reaction wouldn’t fit the ‘clearing the table’. If Chihiro made a v2 then I would reccomend your tweaked version of the line. I just think people were flipping out over two minor (forgiveable) errors, acting as though we should start swinging torches because Chihiro has lost its touch.
Anyway fail. Off to find someone else’s release to leech.

This took me, like, two minutes to make after I downloaded the v2.
Looks like Chihiro is the least worst choice for this show, seeing as other groups are either trolls or just slow.
The file is only 133 Megs, it’s not a bandwitdth breaker.
Thanks for the V2. Kind of ironic how you went through all that to maintain V1 status when you posted it, only to require a V2 after all. 😉 All’s good and love the show! I’m becoming an Inami fan!
Thanks for the V2, I hope in the future translators will remember that as anime fans we get the gist of Japanese culture and jokes, so westernizing, interpreting, or altering what is actually being said is not only unneeded, it is also very much unwanted.
