OP/ED scans are out, and we will be releasing replacement OPs/EDs for the ordered chapters either with episode 4 or episode 5. These replacements will work for all episodes, so when they come out, you can delete the ones you have.

@SU actually I had some weird pixilation and audio/”lip-sync” issues with that same version. Tried the other 2 versions and the same thing happened. Tested some other previous episodes and didn’t have it happen though. Still testing though..

On top of that, VLC is also hopeless at playing ordered chapters. I like VLC too and I use it when I can, but sometimes CCCP is the only option. (K-Lite possibly works as well; anyone who can clarify that for us?)

I also noticed problems with 848×480 version. Weird pixelation and unwatchable. It also is suspiciously smaller than other episodes in 848×480 format. Havent tried other versions.

I had the same Problems on every Version with CCCP and MediaPlayerClassic.
then I just downloaded the CCCP Codec 2009/09/09 Version and now it runs with no Probs.
Guess my codecs were just too old.
I have problems with the 1080p anamorphic version. I use media player classic and the video turns up fine but the subtitles are really skinny and scrunched up. How do I get the subtitles back to the normal width?

Make sure you have the latest versions of Media Player Classic (use Homecinema if you aren’t already) and the latest version of whatever codec pack you use. If it still doesn’t work and you’re not using CCCP, you probably should be. If all else fails, try it with a different player (surprisingly enough, Windows Media Player is a pretty good alternative) and tell us what happens.

Actually, the reason they look scrunched is because the X width is set to 75% on the Subtitle style.
I don’t know if there is a way your codec can force it to display at 100%; I never bothered, since I simply edit the subtitles to look good on my television screen, I simply set it back to 100%.

I originally assumed that koro was using the anamorphic 1080p version along with an out-of-date codec pack that for some reason didn’t stretch the subtitles out to match. So… yeah.
I have a noob question guys, why is it whenever I play any k-on episode i downloaded from here it gets to a point in the video where the video is automatically set to the beginning thus creating an infinite loop for every five minutes or so? I am using VLC btw.
Your problem is that you’re using VLC. K-on uses ordered chapters, which VLC doesn’t know how to handle. Go install CCCP. Refer to the FAQ and Playback Help pages if you can’t figure something out.

I have Homecinema and CCCP and the subtitles look fine on Windows Media Player but MPC doesn’t stretch them out…

hm, mine’s already set at 100% but its still scrunched. Maybe I’ll just stick to WMP…
Others may have ep. 4 out, but I wait for Chihiro. You guys know how to do it right. Hope it comes soon!

Hmmm, I’m using K-Lite, and it looks scrunched on both WMP and MPC. I actually might go back to CCCP again, because K-Lite exactly getting along with Haali MS at the moment.
But I digress, if you want to change it manually, it’s pretty easy if you have aegisub and mkvtoolnix.
The first will let you edit the subtitles from an mkv file, and save it as a subtitle file, such as .ssa or .ass (sorry, I’m not sure if there is a way to save it back directly to the mkv)
The second has “mkvmerge GUI”, which will let you mux the mkv and the new subtitle file together.
