Those of you saying “Will wait for the xvid” seem to have missed the last line of the post. There will be no Xvid for any show this season. It is a horrible codec. Everything will be h.264 mkv.

You’ll be glad to know that I think I just figured out the most difficult line in the song. This and other improvements to the OP lyrics will be included in ep 02.
Edit: I have even better news. We discovered a secret. We have partial official lyrics now that will be included in the next release.

I’m helping Soi re-evaluate the lyrics. Since we have a week to work on them for episode 2 instead of the short amount of time we had for this one hopefully they’ll be a lot closer to the actual lyrics. We’ve already made quite a few changes.
2:28 part of the song. Shouldn’t it be “don’t get me wrong” instead of “don’t get a fear”?

along with that video issue, the sound doesn’t seem to be up to usual quality.
i noticed its 44100Hz instead of 48000Hz, i dont know if anyone else could actually tell the difference, but especially in the more complex sounds it sounded like maybe it got normalized at too high a dB level and distorted slightly. or maybe all these problems were in the raw and im being annoying.

There seems to be a problem with the 720p video at 19:57 to 20:00. Kasuga’s body is pixelised and unclear. Is there something wrong with the raw video itself?

The video seems to be a straight rip from CR (the lack of watermark is one proof), hence the bad audio (that fucking static which appeared in other CR releases as well really makes my ears bleed, though the normalizing is also annoying) and video (HorribleSubs’ release had exactly the same glitches) quality.
I really wished Chihiro would have used an actual TV raw (actually the audio problems in HS were reasons why I downloaded Chihiro’s release in the first place), but it seems only disappointment awaited me.
v2 is forthcoming when we find a .ts.

No complaints here about the switch from XviD/avi to h264/mkv for the low-res version. In fact, I wouldn’t be sad if XviD were dropped forever.
What are you gonna decide on the name for the new demon? Hakua, which a lot of fans still use, or Haqua, which is what is supposedly the correct way of translating the name.

Y’know, for the first time in a VERY long time (since Haruhi 2009/ENDORESU EITO) I think I’m going to actually watch a show as it’s released. Helps that I somewhat know the plot, having read the manga twice now, but yeah.
By the way, they just love showing off the animation/artwork for this show, don’t they? Just like last season; not that I’m complaining.
