I fail to understand why they are planning only 1 season for this. It’s clearly the type of JC Staff Show that should run 24 episodes.

Probably playing it safe to see how it fairs on dvd before they do more, also to milk otaku tears like they do everytime somebody asks about more Shan only to be told not at this time :0)
beats me too, to be honest, eps 1-2 were kinda lame but since ep3…. darn it, IS GREAT!

Why do I feel compelled to finish watching this series? But because of that I’m glad it’s only 12 (13?) episodes.
Its strange when you have shows with plenty of manga content to back them up but do things by half season. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and The World God Only Knows seem to both be popular and have plenty of material but only go by half seasons.
Why no 24 episodes? Easy. They think it sucks too much. But it’s a show which might sell enough with the “fitting” big name seiyuus. This show could never be anything special or good on it’s own, or rather, they didn’t think it could be one. So it needs to resemble other “good” things as much as possible. That’s however no guarantee for enough sales, so they are starting with ~12 episodes.
It probably will sell enough though. Seiyuus do a whole lot in Japan. There are more than enough who buy everything their favorite seiyuu is in, and this show seems to need that.
they should really make it atleast 24 eps if not more…they skipped alot of details in the anime that was in the novel. I dont want to spoil anything but one example was the helicopter escape scene..and there were many others. =/ I love this series~ best one of the season. i want a second season already! lol
Well, from what I read in the light novels, I think it’s too early to make a 24-26 episodes season. Even if they make that much, we probably would have to wait 2 years till the next season. But, since this season is 12-13 episodes, it is very likely we will have to wait just one year for the next season if there will be.
