We are recruiting translators for the upcoming season. Experience is preferred but not necessary, although you will need to pass a test (comprised of translating an episode that we give you) to prove that you are competent enough in both languages to be able to perform this job. If hired, you will be expected to translate at least one episode per week. This typically takes 3 to 4 hours–sometimes more, for difficult series or for inexperienced translators. You should be sure you will have this much free time per week before you apply.
To apply, join #Chihiro-recruits on rizon.
hi! are you still looking for translator?
i’ve got a certificate in first level japanese course, and actually i’m waiting the start of second level..
maybe this could help.
We’re always looking for TLs. Go to the recruits channel on IRC and talk to Kristen or Kuzu/Cloud668/MitoMashiro. I don’t know what first level Japanese amounts to personally so you’ll have to talk to them and go from there.
We have an IRC channel if you want to ask random questions. Otherwise stay on the topic of the post you’re commenting on.

@onzir:
It fails the test.
Hello. I’ve read your post and if you are in need of an English/Japanese translator(and vice versa) id like to nominate myself for the position if possible. I’m currently enrolled in a Japanese language course but i have some experience from my own personal reading so if possible id like to try and see if i’m fit for the role if that’s okay with you.
Go to the IRC channel in the post and follow the instructions in the channel topic then.
If you don’t know how to get into the recruit channel, do this:
Install a software like mirc and then copy/paste that “irc://irc.rizon.net:6667/Chihiro-recruits” (without brackets) in your browser and click ok/go. mirc should launch then and redirect you there.
is there anyone on the recruits channel on rizon? Because ive been wanting to take the test for a couple of days now. If anyone is on please reply in the recruits channel
@konton:
Hi, I’ve seen you come on but you log out every time before I can say anything.
Next time you log on, try saying my nick since that’ll send me an alert – this may not guarantee an immediate response if I am busy or away, but it’ll increase the chances.
ummm, are you on right now by any chance? ^^’
