Ano Natsu 01-04 Released!

So, we were going to do Kill Me Baby as a second project, but it had a million signs. So we switched to this, but our TLer went MIA. So we’re doing it with crunchyroll subs modified to our liking.

Do note that since CR releases on Wednesday, we won’t ever release before then. As stated by policy, 720p 10-bit only.

    didnt you guys say that you guys were going to do “Another”

    Read the white space after the word “Another”

    i am very sad to hear you’re not going to do Kill Me Baby.

    We wanted, but after having watched the first episode, we decide not to. Because it’s a plotless, boring, stupid anime. The other reason is in the topic.

  • Well, I’m happy with any releases you guys do. Even if its crunchyroll, its modified so I’ll be watching. Arigatou

    @gre: If ya looking for Kill Me Baby, UTW does them together with Mazui. So far I think they are doing good.

    @Chihiro: Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Ano Natsu de Matteru:
    => Commie => FAIL
    => Coalguys => Fail
    => Chihiro => the first one who does it right from the beginnig till the end.

    Thank you very much.

    Well, how about that.
    I feel nostalgic about this anime’s settings and background story…Onegai Teacher, anyone? =b
    Even most of the characters’ personalities are the same, down to the funny-looking assistant (Rinon), red-haired alien with glasses, main male protagonist with a (relatively) short stature and wears glasses, Yamano “Morino Ichigo” Remon, and OP song by KOTOKO.

    I assume “modified to our liking” includes fixing name order, which is nice. Granted, Hayaku is also doing a good job (unlike the other groups), so I could watch either, but it’s nice to know there’s a choice.

    WAKE UP

    10bit sucks

  • DarkSpace

    revy, could you please elaborate your opinion? I only see that 10-bit breaks hardware, which is the hardware developers’ fault, and honestly, even my Pentium D processor can decode 10-bit 720p, so it’s not that big of a deal. On the other hand, it provides better video quality, which some people do notice, and at a smaller file size at that.

    Is it just me or is this kind of like an onegai twins thing without the incest? and doesn’t remon remind you of ichigo from onegai teacher/twins?

    Reminds me more of Onegai Teacher. Suddenly a red headed alien shows up, and due to circumstances ends up living with the main character.

  • Awesome series so far, glad I took a chance on watching it. Man, is it funny as well.

  • Verix

    @revy: 10-bit = less banding, smaller filesize/better overall quality. It’s only logical to go for it. You can always go to a 8-bit group or transcode with fast settings yourself.

    Thanks a lot. Will keep torrents for a while.

    Hi guys, I just started downloading the show and I’ve noticed a lot of artifacting. I’m using the CCCP codecs, I also tried using VLC and it was worse. Is it possible I’m missing a codec or have my settings wrong somewhere? I’m running off an Asus F5GL (laptop) with an Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 @ 2GHz and 4 GB or RAM, the video is a NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G. Sorry for such a newbie question, I don’t normally have this much trouble. Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions/ideas. ^__^”

  • Shadowe

    p.s. Thank you so much for working on this show. You are one of my favorite fansub groups. Keep up the good work.

  • Shadowe

    Okay, had to post and apologize for having an RTFM moment. I was indeed using some outdated codecs, updated them, registered them and imagine that, everything is all purty again. I’ll be handing in my SysAdmin card now. >_>
