Hello, and welcome to the new Chihiro. We pretty much removed old staff and old projects in order to get a more streamlined and faster process so that we can bring you projects again.
Few Policies of Note:
1. We are using CR subs for the foreseeable future.
2. We are going to restart doing karaokes for all shows.
3. Honorifics/Name Order will be treated based on the show. Namely – If the show takes place specifically in another country that was not taken over by Japan, we’ll remove them.
4. Everything is oversubbed as is, so we’ll just do what we want to do.
Oh, and swimming suits because it was written that way in English in a sign.

Hopefully things work out smoothly for ya. I blame the over saturation of sub groups and with CR/Funimation/etc. subs, it is hard to compete.
Did you make some kind of change to the site? I noticed I can log in with WordPress here now. Don’ think I could do that before. Also, kicking a lot of staff+using CR for everything= Not sure what I think of the new Chihiro…But good luck anyway.

I actually haven’t downloaded any of their subs for ages, but I still stick around checking what’s what from time to time because I like the community (and because Kuzu is a member here as well at Doki where I’m active). If they’re kicking a lot of the staff, that’s like my last real reason to stick around gone though…
They aren’t kicked out, we reorganized to active, half active, inactive. Actives work on current projects, half actives on backlogs, inactives have no project this season.
@Rokudaime: I still use Doki (though for BDs). The last show I used Chihiro’s subs for was Gosick.
Besides that, I haven’t really used them since Kusion moved to UTW.

Other than the “using CR subs” (which is understandable btw) plox, how are the changes exactly “bad”?
@ronelm2000: To your earlier post about K-On!! BDs to @grew, episodes 25 and 26 are MIA from that. That’s it. It’s incomplete, but in a very weird way.
To your latest post, CR subs is the main gripe that people have. That, and the fact that everything is oversubbed anyway, so I would presume that it’s why people value fansubber-translated stuff over CR (which can be acquired from a number of other groups like HorribleSubs, or in edited-profane form from Commie).
