  I see from your .ass script comments that you know what Western “spats” are. So why didn’t you translate the gairaigo (Anglicism) “supattsu” to actual English? You could have used “compression shorts” for a technical flavor, or the cheer term “spankies” for a playful feel, if “tights” sounded too plain.
