Official lyrics always comes out with the single.
Means they were transcribed by people who actually wrote that song.

Official lyrics refer to lyrics found in the scans of a Japanese CD. Usually TLs do it by ear, and that’s “unofficial”. When a TL translates by reading the lyrics scans, then it’s “official”. It refers to the source of the translation, not the actual translation.
But what about shows that have kanji/hiragana subtitles in the OP/ED such as Naruto/Fairy Tail/Nanatsu no Taizai etc.?
Surely those would be the same as the “official lyrics”?
