The quality isn’t really terrible, very bearable.
Yes, the BD’s will be alot better so yeah. I’d rather wait for the BD’s instead of waiting for better picture quality on the TV release.
Whoa what’s with the massive size for the 1080? 1.1gigs?
That’s what I like to call RAW quality.
1080p has 2.25x as many pixels as 720p. It’s expected for it to be 2.25x the size.
The transport stream was 2.4GB, so really you’re saving half.
This is the biggest 1080 TV file I’ve come across. I was expecting it to be ~800MB.

Hello guys i’m new here what does this guy mean when he said this “Why 1080p TX instead of 1080p BS-J which looks far better?” Is he referring to 2 different tv broadcast one with a slightly better quality or is it an encode method? I was just curious about the terms
He was talking about TV sources, TX & BS-J are Japanese TV channels.
