Happy Easter, everyone! The voting for round one of Chihiro’s April Asylum tournament has ended and I have tabulated the results. There were some close matches and, as expected, some blowouts. The strongest showing was by Amagami SS, which won with 82.33% of the vote against Kono Aozora. Mashiroiro Symphony was very close in that regard, though, winning with 81.88% against Zettai Shougeki. And, unfortunately for Kristen, “Zettai Karen Dakara Makenai” was a lie, as both Lilpri and ZKC were eliminated in the first round.

I can already see there are going to be some very close matchups in round 2. The two key matchups I have my eye on are Hayate vs. Zero no Tsukaima and K-On! vs. To Love-Ru. I feel like these are both going to be very close matchups between very highly rated shows.

In true slowpoke.jpg style, rather than having March Madness, we’re going to have an April Asylum to decide the fan favorite of all the anime Chihiro has ever subbed. I found out that, counting OVAs and movies and dropped shows, we’ve done a total of 55 series, not including our upcoming spring season!

I couldn’t get my PDF to convert to an image without looking like crap, so I’ll just put the full bracket here as a PDF. (Since there were 55 shows, some shows get a bye in the first round.)
