Happy October! Here’s the late episode 07! 08 may or may not get out today. I don’t know, it depends on the TLer. I have to give him a huge clap off, though. 7 episodes in 8 days is quite a lot, even if this show is much shorter than normal episodes. With this, we’re half way finished, and will continue to push forward. Also, this is our first new release of this show. h.264: Happy Tomato! XviD: 07 So, I prematurely made one of these a few days ago. Sorry, my bad. Today. Site was down because of our domain name services. It was something on their part, not ours, so we had nothing we could do but wait. Tomorrow. Looking to release quite a few things tomorrow. No kono aozora today due to certain issues we encountered, but we will be releasing possible ZKC 26, Ikki OVA, Kono 07, Kono 08, and WD 13 tomorrow. Note, this is POSSIBLE. If Real Life interferes or something doesn’t go as planned, we’ll have some of these go to Thursday. Also we should get the banner contest winner up tomorrow. Fall 2008: We did a lot of thought into this during the past week, and we’ve come to a decision. We’re dropping the following series because we’ve decided that they have enough coverage this upcoming fall according to the plans of other groups. Instead, we will be waiting to pick up shows that will not be subbed, or have not been completed. But this does not mean we are unwilling to pick up a show that has fallen behind significantly. 1. Chaos;Head 2. Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka There will be 2 new shows added instead of these shows. We will not announce them until we release the first episode. Both new shows will be in Chihiro speedsub format.
No, Wataru! You’re not supposed to buttrape lolis! Especially not in the bathtub! There’s no room even for normal sex in there! We’re late by 14 minutes, so we’ve failed on our episode a day promise. Ah well. We’re still going to release episode 07 within 24 hours if everything goes well. Reason for lateness: Aegisub hates .mkv, DVD raws are VBR, not CBR, Kristen is stupid. I guess it can be forgiven, considering this is on a DVD raw, and has karaoke. We’ll go back and re-encode 01-05 with the karaoke and DVD raws after we finish. For now, it’s time to press forward to the yet-unsubbed episodes! Has it been a week already? Ah well. ~^_^~ Ikkitousen OVA was much shorter than I thought. So, with the end of September, we come to another round of Saimoe voting. This round I actually think might be a little easier for our lovely eyepatched friend than last round, especially if there are less fake votes. Her competition this round is Nanaka Yatsushiro (Myself;Yourself) and Hazuki Torekai (Sketchbook ~Full Colors~). The date for the voting is October 6th in Japan, which is pretty much 6 days from now. Like last time, I’ll post the voting thread and how to vote the day of. So, like last time, vote for our eyepatched friend! Vote for Chihiro! Let her remember her victory for at least a couple of hours! (By the way, expect Kono Aozora 06 out tonight. We have a translation already, so we’re just waiting for our TLC bottleneck to clear up, and then we’ll release it)
6 days, 5 episodes. Not bad, ne? 06 will hopefully be out tomorrow, and then we should be all caught up. Not like it really matters. We’ll still continue at an episode a day regardless on what other people/groups are planning on doing. This should be the last episode on a TV-Raw at its initial release. We finally got a karaoke today, so providing that DVD raws are available, we will encode to DVD with karaoke from this point on. 01-05 will be re-encoded once we’re finished with the series. Also, we’re looking for an additional TLC and a typesetter for this upcoming season. Please contact me or a & on Rizon. Also, about Ikkitousen OVA. We are doing it. 4 episodes in 5 days. That’s good enough for me, and I hope it is for you. 05 should hopefully be out tomorrow, with 06 on Monday. AKA, we should be breaking into new episodes starting on Monday. Like usual, ZKC’s release is completely dependent on when Shinsen Raws releases. FYI, we may be looking into doing a DCIISS like release for ZKC. 704X396 on the first raw that comes out just h.264, and then full 1280X720 h.264 and 704X396 XviD once Shinsen raws comes out. Of course, if you can find us a capper, we could probably do both earlier on. I’ll probably be posting a fall preview/season in review soon. Yes, that is right. Zettai Karen Children has had a profound impact on Penguin Musume and turned all characters into lolis! Is this the earliest we’ve ever released Penguin? Earliest I remember was 2 PM EST, so I guess it has to be. ^_^ Yay for DmonHiroX! <3<3<3 Banner competition is still open, with 4 days left. Submit while there’s time! As for the Lucky Star OVA that you’ve all been asking for, the answer as of right now is “No”. We have Zettai Karen Children, Kono Aozora, and a secret project all to take care of first. By the time we’d have the time to do it, it’d have been released already by 15 groups. Heck, we’re barely getting much of a break this week. World Destruction on Monday, Akane on Thursday, Penguin on Saturday, with Kono Aozora hopefully at 1 episode a day? Yeah, it’s looking like a very normal week. By the way, anybody here know of a person who has a capping box? Getting a capper would result in much faster releases. Also, I’ve been playing Triptych lately, so you may be hearing me exclaim “Karen is soooo cute!” or something random for the next few weeks. h.264: Lolis? XviD: WE DON’T DO XVID FOR PENGUIN! Normally, a release means a lot of excitement and celebration. It means people are happy, and everything is going well. But, to me, this release really is not a happy one. It’s sad. To Love Ru is over. We started subbing it when Chihiro was only 13 days old, and we’ve never missed a week. I think the latest we ever were in a release was Monday, because of a complete staff change. To Love Ru has gone through a style change, a staff change, a capper arrest, a trip to China, Real life issues of changing locations, a few transport streams that worked, a few transport streams that failed, multiple encoders, a widescreen and fullscreen release, and even a v2 or two. And it’s been on our to do chart for 145 days out of the 158 days of our existence. It defined Chihiro, and it’s the only thing left linking us to the beginning. Well, out with the old and in with the new. Clannad begins airing next week, and I fully and truly support Sprocket Hole Subs with their effort to translate it. Chihiro will not pick Clannad up, do not ask for it. There are multiple reasons why, and I will not go into them. I’d like to thank a couple of people for making this project possible. First is Kylaran, who rescued this project from the depths of hell once Jaka left. It may not have been the easiest show to translate, but he was smiling all the way through it. Second is Mauneydy-kun, who is still pushing through the releases, even if the encodes are beginning to frustrate him. Third is to the various people who came through for jobs like editing and timing, and to those who helped us out when a regular had to leave for a week. And lastly, I’d like to thank all of you for your continual support and guidance through this show. Kylaran: So, I wanted to be able to post on the last ep of this series. TLR 14 was the first episode of anime I ever translated as a completely solo project (as in, it wasn’t something I just TLC’d), and it was quite fun. I’m glad that Kristen forcefully commandeered me into working on this series, which ended up being extremely stupid, but also somewhat enjoyable. Thanks to all those who’ve enjoyed following our releases. And even bigger thanks to the staff that made this all work out. Enjoy!
