Sorry about the delays on this. Really, we had issues internally and externally with staff RL and with the sudden onslaught of the fall schedule which we were not prepared for. We are doing out best to adjust to the new schedule now, but as you can tell, there are still a few kinks to work out. I’m anticipating 1, maybe 2 Kono Aozora episodes tomorrow, Kyou no Go no Ni, and possibly a secret project that you don’t know about. But that secret little project is more likely Wednesday than tomorrow. And, um, yeah, adult Kaoru is hot. And yes, there’s a new OP/ED. We’ll translate it after we get out of the craziness that is this week. h.264: Lolis become hotties when they grow up. XviD: Hm…
And with this, we’re 17 episodes into our lovely penguin. Enjoy your bondage fetish for girls in swimsuits, you perverts! If you want another amazing fact, Chinese subbers are only up to episode 14 of Penguin Musume. This means that we are 3 episodes ahead of the Chinese. Yay! For other projects, they’re coming within 24 hours with any luck. Only one that isn’t is EF, which is presently aiming to be a Wednesday night release again. h.264: Bondage time! XviD: You may only enjoy your bondage fetishes in h.264. Sorry.
Yes, I know we’re behind on a few things. I blame it on the new season coming in and hitting us with 5 shows which air within 4 days of each other. We just have to get used to the new schedule, since we’re used to the hit coming Wednesday-Thursday (3 shows in 2 days). I’d like to release 5-2 and Penguin tomorrow if possible, with KA 11 and ZKC 27 on Tuesday, but a lot of it depends on when our TLs/TLCs are available. No guarantees on anything at this point. Also, Miu is MOE!!! h.264: Miu-chan~ XviD: Almost done~ After a bit of though, ef is a standard definition show. Normally, we’ll release upscales of shows because they’ll look good. But you all saw what the transport stream looks like, and the demand for SD only is a bit higher than for HD. As such, we’re going to only be releasing 704X400 for both h.264 and XviD. As our encoder said, the 720p issues were all my fault, because I was the one who asked that we tried doing it. We may try doing it at a higher definition if we decide to do DVDs later on, but for now, we’ll be doing SD only. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
After a couple of days of struggles, mistakes, non-mistakes, raw hunting, and encoding, we’re finished with episode one. This is done in full. OP is subbed, all signs are typeset, full edit pass, etc. And we’re intending to do that for all of EF. For pre-releasing, it’s simply not happening anymore. If we do pre-release at all, it’ll be to maybe a blogger or a few friends we trust. If you have to ask if you are one of these people, the answer is no. Just stay patient, we’ll keep you informed as to how we are doing. Heck, this is still a 54 hour turnaround even with a couple of delays. Also, big clap to our encoder (An anonymous one). Here’s a sample of how bad the transport stream was. You would think for a series are artsy as this one it would at least have good picture quality. So, there were some mistakes made today. Pre-releasing was not a good idea, and I do not see us doing it again for EF.
