First off, I’m not sure why the website is being slow. We’re working on it.
Second, we finally finished the episode! Oddly enough, this had nothing to do with the csubs being released today. We just happened to have a J->E TLer finish today. Either way, enjoy your Cha Chi
Third, as always, there will be no XviD on this release, since Penguin airs in h.264 to begin with.
Fourth, Sakura should be back online later today, hopefully with To Love Ru 25. TLR 25 is moving along smoothly and should be releasable tonight.
Fifth, World Destruction is NOT dropped, thank you to whoever thought that. Our translator is in a financial stock company and has had to work super-triple overtime. We’ve decided to resort to plan B.
h.264: Cha Chi Dachi~

We caught up! Well, sort of. It is now possible for any person to see the anime from episode 01 to the present, although you’d need to group hop. I guess our next challenge is to get episodes 2-11 and 13 finished. I guess 13 will be the first one in the loop, since we SHOULD still have a translation for that. But these are going to be at a more relaxed pace. In other words, we’re trying to finish them by the end of the show, not as soon as possible. Basically, if we have a TLer free, they’ll work on it.
I don’t know what day to tell you to expect ZKC from now on, because we’ve never had to wait for CSubs or 720p raws before. But we shouldn’t fall an episode behind, like, ever.
By the way, this was encoded by a new encoder to the group (wishes to remain anonymous), so tell me how he did. Also, how is the new font?
To Love Ru is aiming to be released tomorrow night. And Penguin may actually be moving. ^_^
h.264: 13 down, 11 to go!
XviD: Confirmed!

So, I have a lot of things to say.
1. Glasses moe loli doesn’t get enough solo air time
2. I know this is a picture of the OP. I wanted the glasses moe loli
3. 1 more episode until we catch up!
4. Full TLC this episode. Comments appreciated.
5. Proper VFR and better x264 settings. Comments detailing how I can fix more problems appreciated. General “Too sharp” or “Too blurry” comments will be ignored, since I don’t know how to encode, I just know how to follow encoding procedures.
6. Released before XviD of Sekirei because it has and will be my policy to release something new before a re-release of something old.
7. I can’t count, so I accidentally named this episode 24 in a torrent. Ignore that one, it’s dead.
8. v2 for XviD does not mean anything changed. Just audio is compressed.
h.264: Episode 24 tomorrow hopefully. ^_^
XviD: Kristen FAILS

Tsukiumi, be my wife!
It’s been fun working on this. I’m pretty sentimental now that this journey is over. This is the first show that I have translated and have learned a lot from it.
Thanks to all those who’ve stuck around for this series. 🙂 Enjoy!
[Edit: So… I left home, and am currently transitioning to move into my college apartment tomorrow. I came online to check up on Seki 12’s status, and, well, Kristen posted as me and spelled Tsukiumi as Tsukami! orz… But I just corrected it. So we’re good to go.]
Edit from Kristen: XviD is not encoding right now. It will be in about 90 minutes from now.
h.264: Final episode!
XviD: Kristen Fails

So, Sekirei announced a season 2 at the end of its final episode this season. So as to prevent questions, I will make the announcement now. Assuming that Chihiro is still alive when season 2 comes along, we WILL be doing it. So, there’s your answer, don’t ask anymore.
I guess I’ll make a status post here, since this post has very little purpose to begin with.
DL Raw – Done
Timeraw- Done
Translation- Done
Timing- Done
Editing- Done
Fining- Done
Encode- Lossless Done. 45 minutes to h.264 at 8:45 PM
ETA: 9:30 PM EST for h.264, midnight for XviD
Well, it’s been 5 days, so I’m making a status thread to let you know what’s going on.
The Chinese group we were using to translate PMH, KTXP, has seemingly stopped releasing Penguin Musume. Maybe it is a harder episode or they’re stuck on the English at the start or something, but either way, they’re extremely late. As in, they used to release about 6 hours after air time for episodes 1-11, and now it’s been 4.5 days for this episode.
For J->E, it’s extremely hard to do a Penguin Musume episode. They speak slurrily, and fast, so it becomes extremely hard to hear the dialogue. Beyond that, our J->E department is already stuffed with projects, so we wouldn’t be able to add it on any time soon.
So, we have a few options right now. First is, if you’re a J->E TLer of ANY level (So long as you do the episode, we can TLC it), please contact me. By any, I mean JLPT 4, 3, 2, or 1. If a J->E TLer does not come to me, the second option is to continue to wait for Chinese subs, but I don’t know if the Chinese group just dropped it or if they’re just behind by a lot. The third, if a J->E TLer doesn’t apply and Chinese never release, is to drop the series, and we REALLY don’t want to take this option.
Anyways, I’d write out a full status thread, but our status is stuck at translating and will be until one of the forementioned things happen.

So, I’m going to skip any usual ranting to talk directly on our releases on Zettai Karen Children in general. ZKC is a fun series, and we have some people willing to translate it. However, the main translator for the series entered a new schedule of post-summer where he basically only has 4 hours of free time per week. As such, we needed to change translators. To compound to that, the main person TLCing it has told us that he doesn’t want to TLC this series again due to Aya Hirano making TLCing impossible. As such, our TL has been relying on what I call “light” TLC, where the editor has some knowledge of Japanese, but not a whole lot, so he does not catch all errors.
Simply put, we ran out of options on ZKC. We cannot have a strict J->E TL of it yet, because our only J->E TLer is working on other series and is at his max for the rest of the summer. We cannot get a J->E TLCer either, since we have 1 busy with school work, one busy with RL, and one who refuses to do it. So, this is C->E with two light J->E passes on it. Hence the lower TL quality as of late.
For the saying “They released it poorly for lols”, no. We haven’t released something for a laugh in months, and even then, that was Jaka releasing for laughs, me to release.
We will solve our TL issues after this season finishes, though. We’re doing a little project shuffle for the fall so that we’re doing less series than we initially planned so as to allow for better concentration on them and for more of a possibility to sub shows that need them later on in the season, and that should solve some problems.
Also, Chihiro doesn’t troll. We get trolled. On an unrelated note, this episode threw in a different challenge to me, so I was unable to do VFR on it. I’m going to try on episode 23 and see how it works out.
h.264: Troll Free Version
XviD: Oops, forgot to write this in.

Dreaming loli. Isn’t that all what this is about? What could she be dreaming about? About how one day she’ll grow big breasts and become God without knowing that she is?
XviD will not be out for a while because I am presently dealing with episode 19’s lossless which will then turn into a timeraw when I wake up, and then eventually h.264. THEN I’ll do the XviD. 19 is our goal episode to release tomorrow, with 23 on Wednesday (Assuming it doesn’t go onto the backburned for Sekirei or WD).
Also, for those complaining about jerky frame rates, you have been heard. I’m looking into some way to fix it. Convertfps=29.970 would also create jerky frame rates since this is VFR, not 29.970. And speaking of which, what genius capper though it’d be a good idea to release the raw in VFR x264 .avi? I think I found a solution to the VFR stuff, but it’d either require us to release XviD in an MKV container (Not compatible with DVD players), or we’d add about 8 hours of encoding time onto XviD weekly.
Lastly, we are working to make a better style, but bear with us while we work on it.
Now, off for my own loli sleep. ^_^

XviD:Â Waking loli…
