Does your PC support properly 720p h264 files? Maybe your PC is at its limit playing these files so try closing all other applications while watching it. If not try installing the CCCP Codec pack but the first I think is your case since sometimes in many PCs it occurs that in the scenes with more movement the sync goes out, and thats due to the capacity of the PC in question. Just close any other application, and then try again, if it doesn’t works properly then wait for the XviD file.

yes, my PC does support 720p h264 files. I’m able to properly play both h264 and Xvid files without any incident. This is the first time I’ve played a video that went out of sync. I’ll try updating my CCCP though. Maybe that’s the problem.
I’ve updated my CCCP but the problem wasn’t fixed. I’ve also noticed that it only happens with this file since all my other h264 files work totally fine.

I always got those out-of-synchs. It slows down and a while later it speeds up to “catch up” with the actual position of the video. It can’t be a codec problem, as the previous 4 episodes of this (also the .mkv of course) worked fine for me and as I’m not the only one experiencing it, it has to be a more general problem. Did you do anything different with this episode that you didn’t do with the others?

Starting right around the star gazing part, is where the slow down happens. I’m used to my computer choking a little on some h264 videos when there’s a lot of full frame action, but it’s never this bad. The clothes changing parts are fine, and then the ED is a lot of stop and go, as is the part after the credits, which was a lot of freeze framing. Like I said, I very rarely experience slow down with h264 files, but it’s usually only like 2 or 3 frames that get dropped, and I can usually rewind and watch it fine, but not with this file. The last 4 or 5 minutes are just fubar.
Its a RAW error or an encoding error, but it seems thats within the file the slowdown problem, so hope Chihiro would make a NON-CURSED V2 FILE. Thanks a lot for your work.
It worked fine for me until the ending song and afterward.
My copy, when it reached 6:30, suddenly skipped to the end. It’s happened to me a few times before with other files, and is a problem with the file itself.
The rest of the episode works just fine until the part after the end credits (I skipped through them so I can’t say exactly where it started messing up). The video just halved its speed and quickly went out of sync, and stayed that messed-up way until the end.
Is the RAW any different to previous episodes? The outlines seem a lot thicker in this one, and looks possibly like it’s been scaled up to that size rather than recorded at it. I hope a v2 is done at some point with a better RAW.
The only error that the file gave to me was during the Shooting star watching part of the episode when all get to sleep. After that I haven’t any problem. I didn’t watched the ending so I don’t know if it’s also wrong with me.

Use a different player (e.g. KMplayer) if you are facing lots of lagging. They use their own codec pack which is much friendlier for old computer systems
Major errors on this episode. “maybe the raw was bad” I experienced alot of lag during the middle and close to the end. It was off by like 5 seconds. I hardly like complaining because its pointless, but I really haft to when its at that level of fail.

For me there are problems from 14:00 – 14:45(?) (sometime around there) and the entire part after the credits until maybe three or four seconds before the end. I was actually really suprised that I was having problems because I haven’t had any problems at all since I started using Zoom Player (none of Chihiro’s previous Kyou no Go no Ni episodes have caused so much as a stutter of problems for me). V2 please?

My cpu is an [email protected], and I’ve never had an issue playing any 720p h264 video before.
I play everything using MPC with CCCP installed.
However, I tested playing the video again using MPC with CoreAVC 1.8 for decoding h264 and the lagging issue wasn’t present at that particular time anymore.
The video become to slow near the end.
The subtitle can’t showed in time in nagareboshi scene. (backward seek to fix)

Because I don’t think I recall seeing that Nagareboshi scene in the manga.
Well according to the OVA period names there are still somes that haven’t appeared in the anime, but I think they’ll be mixed up with new periods.
I played it in WMP with coreAVC, no speed problems. This, however, is the problem I’m getting. There’s a thin strip at the bottom right that appears throughout most of the show. Really minor problem though.

I think that it is unanimous that we need a v2 to fix up all these issues we’re all having.
It’s clearly not a hardware related issue (i.e. old computer) nor a codec one (people are using CCCP and various players).
The weird strip is in most of the previous episodes, but I’d say that it really isn’t as much of a problem as the de-syncing.
well the XviD version seems fine. Why can’t we all just settle for that one instead of badgering them to make a V2.
Some of us would rather have a h264 version.
Also, does Chihiro ever do karaoke for their anime? I really like having it around, but suddenly I can’t recall any of Chihiro’s works having any. It’s a shame, because what they do do is of good quality.

And yes. I agree that karaoke effects in the OP and ED is awesome, but it’s not really that necessary. If the OP and ED is at least translated, then that’s fine. Adding karaoke is just a nice touch (which many of us appreciate greatly).

Agreed with everyone else. A large chunk of the stargazing scene was unwatchable, as is the bit after the ED. This is not elated to my PC, it’s an error with your release.
