Wide screen means its the whole show, parts are chopped off to make it non WS for television and such. Watch episode 1 in normal then watch it in WS, you will notice a difference.

Lol they make doujinshi manga and hentai animes for those views and more. Although i cant say more then that considering ive seen neither.
But why not just air in WS, I mean, I recon about 99% of all people with a TV prob have a WS tv by now.
Especialy otaku in Japan, of all demographics.

The only reason that makes sense is to sell more DVDs. The stations that air this have commercials for the DVDs everywhere.
