    Okay, I’m confused. What’s Orange Ray? I thought it was only Melodies and Memories.

  • KR Gatack

    Orange is the New Blue. XDD

  • CheeZe

    Haha, good reference to Chaos;Head.

    Haven’t watched this series yet, but I believe “those eyes” are Mizuki’s?

  • Mr. Rawr

    ugh… did you need to remind me of that awful chaos head show :(? Hurrah for ef though!

  • aikaimolie

    omgzor!!!! daisuki!!!!!

  • bloodhunterr

    and what happaned to chaos;head anyway?on stall or….

  • fallentangel

    wat anime is tis? cant find the title in wikipedia..

  • ascendancy

    It’s Ef- a tale of melodies
    It’s a rip from the blu-ray discs.

  • that guy

    omg that looks cute now i need to watch this!!!…is this anime a romance?

  • Kanaka

    @Mr. Rawr

    Chaos;Head wasn’t THAT bad… but it definitely screws with your mind a bit >.<

    @that guy

    If you haven’t seen the prequel, ef – a tale of memories, I’d suggest you pick it up. Since I’m kinda OCD about watching things in chronological order, I can’t watch series out of sequence. Depending on your definition of “romance”, this show deals a lot with “feelings” with some drama.

    Thanks Chihiro!

  • that guy

    k sounds nice gonna watch it (=…and i agree chaos head is one of my fav animes hopefully they make a second season(; ……what does “ocd” means?

  • seeker

    Obsessive compulsive disorder πŸ˜‰

    I’m the same, I hate watching stuff out of order… I even hate watching previews because they might give stuff away! I’m easily bugged =/

    Thanks Chihiro!

  • chan-kun

    thanks, and i`m like that too, (writing while i put my underwear i n chronlogic order).

    and, something that`s annoyed me for months.
    why don`t you switch from mkv. to mp4, since mkv and mp4 has similar capabillities (higher quality, softsub, etc.) + mkv. have the tendens to slow many ppls pc.
    and it would be kinda cool to have it on my PSP too.

  • Mistery Person

    MKV= Bad

    MP4= Good

    MKV is the Devil`s formar

    MP4 is the Angel`s Format.

  • PooHead

    Chaos head suck balls.. not recommended

  • chan-kun

    and thats the truth… -snaps fingers, wiggles my head around-

  • Chieftain

    @chan-kun and Mistery Person:

    MKV and MP4 are virtually the same thing. They are what you call “containers”. Its like having two boxes one red and one blue. You put your retail dvd in either of the box, and when you go to take it out and play it, same quality. Containers make no difference in performance and video quality. What DOES make a difference is the codecs used to encode the video/audio in those containers.
    Just for reference: h264(x264) will ALWAYS use more processing power to play than XviD does. So respectively a video that plays at 1280×720 x264, will most definitely use more cpu usage than one at 704×396 XviD.
    Different codec, different playback properties, DIFFERENT.
    So Containers never make any difference in video quality, but what codecs are used to encode the video.

    Btw thanks for the release Chihiro.

  • Aritic

    @chieftan:

    However, certain players doesn’t handle MKV (talking about mp4 players and such)

  • chieftain

    @Artic:

    That’s why you convert them. Its not that hard to google and learn of programs that will convert them for you.
    And really, who releases in MP4 format anyway? MKV FTW!

  • Zig

    I really don’t get why mkv got so damn popular.

  • chan-kun

    wow, but one of my points is: if it is the same, why do i have to use cccp for mkv, but vlc for mp4. if i use vlc for mkv everything goes out of sync, and its “lagging“ terribly, but not with mp4.

  • chieftain

    @chan-kun:

    Use K-lite Mega in conjunction with Media Player Classic.

  • Kayu

    sono me, watashi no me
    those eyes, is mine !!
    haha, awesome release, guys

    You should be using CCCP anyways.

  • Kanaka

    It all comes down to preference as someone mentioned above.

    @Kristen

    How many eps. come on each Blu-Ray discs?

  • Soichiro

    There is a very good reason for not using MP4. It doesn’t support as many video or audio formats (one of these being FLAC, which is used in these bluray releases), it doesn’t have fully featured chapter support, and the softsub support is practically nonexistent (it doesn’t support .ass, which makes it practically useless for fansubbing purposes unless you want it hardsubbed). Also, nobody should ever use VLC. CCCP is better in every possible way, especially on softsubs..

  • chan-kun

    the first media player i used besides wmp, was vlc, so i guess i never stopped using it.

    and i don`t really care if it`s softsubbed or hardsubbed, unless i learn japanese or something.
    and the format i would prefer is mp4, then i don`t have to use cccp (bad argument), and i can skip the converting when i want to put it on my PSP.

  • Soichiro

    If you’re going to watch it on a ridiculously tiny screen like that anyway, just get the AVI from the TV version. I’m not going to change what I do because of people who want to do special things like that. These releases are designed for watching on the computer with CCCP. If anyone wants to do anything besides that, it’s completely up to them.

  • aikaimolie

    @Kanaka
    if i remember correctly, 2 epis per blu-ray discs

  • Merlin

    I’ve got about 9,700 episodes of anime. It’s a mix of AVI, MP4, MKV, and even some WMV thrown in. It all plays just fine using CCCP on Media Player Clasic.

  • Ippo

    @ Merlin

    That’s a large number. What does that translate to in number of series?

  • I’m Kinda OCD too, Click “Merlin” and you will see why.

  • chan-kun

    i don`t mind it being tiny, besides, i lay on my bed when watching it, that results in that my face is 5 inches from the screen, then it`s quite large actually…

  • Ippo

    @ Merlin

    That’s Impressive! You greedy SOB : ) My list tops at 315 not including anime movies and hentai. I have gotten rid of some series due to lack of interest, boredom, or just plain dumb. I might also consider on producing a spreadsheet with all the anime I currently have.
    I see you have Nana but no Paradise Kiss, what gives? Cowboy Bebop but no Outlaw Star? Naruto but no Bleach? Clannad but no Kanon? hmm… I know you have much on your plate but they are good to have : )

  • Genesis Rhapsodos

    thanks again Chihiro fansub staff
    =D

  • r

    that guy above is gay

  • Soichiro

    All people with a single letter for their name are gay.

  • @ Ippo

    Kanon is on the list, TV & OVA. Outlaw Star I’ve seen all of Just don’t own it. If you read the top of the list, It is for “finished” series only so bleach along with thirty or so other shows that are still airing are not on there. As for Paradise Kiss, I just never got around to it but I might give it a go since you recomend it.

  • jadesterne

    awesome…thank’s chihiro^^

    @Cyber1
    Can you provide MU DDL link for epd 02 T_T…torrent is very slowly in my country. Thank You in advance.

  • dragon-fly

    I LOVE MKV!!!!

    Give you soft subs, lots of languages choice, Cool Stuff like Ordered Chapter, and also lets you have h.264 DXVA Acceleration when configured properly in MPC HC on radeon HD Series and nvidia 8800gt 512mb And newer, means 1-3% CPU Usage on my quad core versus 25% if not h.264 accelerated. (not that it matters, since i can still play anything anyways)

  • MagixBox

    If you are still having problems with slow playback then you might consider investing in the CoreAVC codec they are one of the best decodes out there πŸ™‚
