What you could try doing is simply uninstalling all codecs and what have you, and then just downloading and installing one codec pack. That could make a difference, assuming you haven’t tried already.
@Kuglbix: No, Akikan is Jap->Eng. That’s a typo. Didn’t you notice THAT’S THE ONLY PLACE we didn’t write “Najimi”? How come people always come to the most distant conclusion from the posibillities?

Ok so I’m having a little problem with the files you release, the audio and video aren’t sync.
When I watch Soul Eater or any Dattebayo subbed files I never have this problem, redownloaded the file 2x still the same.
Tried different players and switching codecs but still it does not run sync.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, I still don’t get any subtitles at all. Not in Zoomplayer, VLC, MPC, or Mplayer. Not with MPlayer codecs, not with K-Lite, not with CCCP.
Since every other fansub team’s stuff plays fine for me, I’m gonna go ahead and blame this on you guys.
I don’t know what’s exactly going on but hey, stop blaming and accusing the fansubbers. I think they did quite a good job for Akikan seeing that no other fansubbing groups are doing it. Keep up the good work & effort, Chihiro.

I’ve watched all anime for this week and everything worked fine as always but I still haven’t seen Akikan 09 due to the sync problem.

if u use mpc in cccp, mkv should play perfectly fine, but my Akikan! mkv file was also out of sync, while all other mkv eps. i have plays fine.
so it has nothing to do with the computer, don`t know what to blame tough.

Sure, their effort is appreciated, but if they can’t encode it so everyone can watch it like EVERY OTHER FANSUB GROUP does, then, they’re gonna have to expect complaints.
It’s not like I’m just trying it in VLC and going “Waaah it doesnt work fix it for me”. I have tried it with MPC Classic and Home Cinema, With CCCP and K-Lite. I have tried it in VLC with CCCP and K-Lite. I have tried it in Zoomplayer, with their codec installer. I have tried it in MPlayer with the MPlayer recommended codecs. NONE of them show a subtitle file, yet it’s right there in the container. There is no other fansub group who I’ve had this problem with, just Chihiro.
And “I think they did quite a good job for Akikan seeing that no other fansubbing groups are doing it.” isn’t really a working argument. If you go to a pizza place and no one makes your pizza, but I make one for you and lock it in a steel box, are you going to thank me?
I would actually thank people if they did that because even a steel box isn’t impenetrable. Give it enough time, I could crack it. If it’s between taking time to crack it and not being available anywhere else and I want pizza, I’ll thank you for doing that.
I’m so honoured you guys work on Akikan, it’s my fave anime this whole season. I don’t care how long it takes you guys to get an ep done.

Not to be offensive, but that makes you an idiot. A normal person would go somewhere else, or if it wasn’t available, ask the establishment to make it available.
I wish CoalGuys would pick this back up, they did it right.
&& Just so there’s no confusion; I’m not hating on Chihiro for any reason other than the fact I can’t watch a fucking .mkv with subtitles from them.
