Batching for this series will happen pretty much as soon as we release episode 12. We will batch WS only, because FS is stupid, and we’ll batch both types of codecs.

fictionjunction and kalafina are both “projects” of Yuki Kajiura. There is a variation of singers at times but I agree with you that the compositions are distinctive enough you can definitely tell when Kajiura is involved. I like most everything she has done.

What’s surprising about Kalafina is that it’s not FictionJunction Something like the rest of Yuki Kajiura’s groups.

SO, uh, i wanted to post this somewhere else but it wasn’t working. but there was an error in TL around 18:00 (i didnt dl your op/ed) on K-ON 4 … dunno if you read Frostii’s blogpost, but the joke was that Ritsu said “tsubo datta mitai da na”… and mio heard it as “fujitsubo”, where tsubo = funny bone and fujitsubo=barnacle. and that actually makes sense, considering, you know, the guitar buzzing and causing yui to laugh would be like hitting the funny bone. so a TL of “it’s like it was your funny bone” makes more sense than “it’s like a barnacle”
and i was confused you know, because babelfish wouldn’t translate tsubo into funny bone. and i found some more kanji for funny bone and it didn’t seem to match

tsubo is part of the expression “tsubo o tsuku” which is apparently like “hit the spot” or “tickled my funny bone”
so “tsubo datta mitai da na” would be more accurate in that sense. just thought i’d share the japanese lesson i learned with everyone y’know.

Then never watch Sayonaro Zetsubou Sensei. It’s just about the world capital of puns. _Everything_ is a pun in that show. Personally, I love it that way, but if puns aren’t your thing… Still, puns make for harder translations.
