keiichi CRC stands for Cyclical redundancy check if i remember right, its used to check the file for errors/corruption
CRC stand for cyclic redundancy check. Well it is just a code to prevent common error in the data integrity on communication.

As for the CRC, I don’t think there is anything wrong with the downloaded file. I’m guessing Kristen is saying there was a typo in the CRC number in the file name.
The CRC value in the file name doesn’t do anything. It’s just a hash derived from an algorithm that represents the file’s data. By running a command, such as cksum in linux, you can generate your own hash value. Since both parties will be using the same algorithm, the hash value will be identical as long as the data in the file hasn’t changed. You can use this to either verify that your downloaded copy is an unaltered version of the original, or to make sure that it wasn’t corrupted during downloading.

some people got glitching from an old x264 codec or something i believe? either way, latest k-lite or CCCP seemed to fix.

Pretty sure old CoreAVC versions have some problems with videos encoded using the x264 library. Used to have that until I switched to the newer version but people are saying there’s a bigger problem with it (though it’s working fine for me).
