or are we led to believe it’s just a 1/1000000 chance to get past the bug regardless of your prior choices and he couldn’t retrace his steps so his work was meaningless? If it took him only a day to get past the well known loop, it must compound ridiculously after that point to get to the ending. It does time skip, so I guess the episode spans several weeks at least.

I presume you’ve seen the real OP lyrics by now. Don’t worry. I wouldn’t have guessed it either. Seems to be from the perspective of little demon-girl, and āGodā of course refers to our eponymous protagonist.
