Hello. Can you help me choosing a new torrent client ? I was using utorrent but now it removed my control over where to save downloaded data (anime eps in this case).
The menu command to “add torrent choosing the download folder” doesn’t work.
I’ve tried everything help, forums, user manual and nothing worked. utorrent now automatically saves on the default directory specified in my web browser. (ie “%username%\downloads”).
So, utorrent is now unsuitable for my needs. Do you know another torrent client that may work ? Thanks in advance.
just because u still using this primitive ordered chapters method (that in case u don’t notice in this era allmost anyone have 1TB HDD and Blue-ray/DVDs of 8 GB+, they not really care about some “mextra 100MB”!
it just give us more problems as u use this method further (as it was with some of your old shows)
even though cccp 2011 fix most of the problems you brought to us in your old shows it dosn’t mean we love to get more problems in the future.
@Anon, I use Vuze to download my torrents. I’d recommend it if you want an alternative.

I agree with Ren. If you don’t like what Chihiro is doing (without being paid for it, mind you), then go somewhere else instead of making demands of them.

1. OCs are hardly primitive (actually, they’re the opposite). If you’re implying that stuff is primitive just because it’s been used for a long time, then x264 itself is primitive and we should all be encoding in SNOW.
2. CCCP has worked fine with ordered chapters for years. If you’re having problems, it’s because you’re too retarded.
3. You obviously have the wrong idea. We don’t do OCs to save space. We do them to fix lyrics in songs later in the season and have it apply to the entire season. Or, in the case of BD, as an easier and smoother way to use NCOP/NCED.
Silly question but why was Canada the cause for a delay? Was it the stupid Conservative Canadian government’s policies or the rain, lightning, and thunder in the West or the insane heat wave in the East?
Maybe the backwards telecommunication policies of Canada with providers wanting to increase prices for less bandwidth, the monopolies in television, wireless and cell phones? Could it be the fact that the Conservative government is in bed with big business?

This is NOT an “official” patch since I didn’t get approval, but it’s better than just leaving in the errors.

i kida agree with what “-.-” said… case i remeber how i had problems with shows like “Amagami SS” and some more (that i don’t really remeber right now)
and guys my codec are fine

(check it in something like 5 pcs…same problems in all of them)
and when Chihiro releases ep 12 and 13 of A SS it had so much problems that was fixed only in CCCP 2011 , and u know what the dam thing was? that when they releases it we were far in the 7.12.2010…. 6 months before cccp 2011 even was made…. and the problems of the eps was by the OP and ED that make everything black. Chihiro reply back at that time was to Stop using DXVA , but obviously no one even used DXVA (thats how they reply.. just so u don’t think that i assume it myself..) case CCCP turn off DXVA as default !
the point is OCs are maybe hardly primitive But the in the way Chihiro encoded them till now (with ton of bugs) i prefer “primitive” ways such as haveing the whole ep with OP and ED added to it

I can’t believe you’re making me log in here and respond while I’m at work. I watched every episode of Amagami SS we released without a single problem. Do you think I, and everybody else that had no issues with them had some super special version of CCCP, or is it more likely the few people that had issues like you either had an issue with their install of CCCP, or had some setting wrong that a simple reinstall would have fixed? I also suppose you think the newest release of CCCP was designed specifically to make it so our “poor encodes” could be played? There’s no way that installing the new release fixed the issues with your old install and that’s why our files magically started working, right?

Only the script was tweaked. If your playback system supports OC & external MKV segment linking then it should play just fine. If you get weird behaviour occurring where the OP/ED starts (ie. restarting, crashing, etc.) then it probably means that your player supports OC but not the other. In this case, try turning off OC support in your player. This should at least allow you to watch the episode without the OP/ED. (You can watch the OP before the ep and the ED after if you want.)

if you will read all of this closely you find alot of people who complain they have problems, some case they really not set the settings / install CCCP right

You’re giving me a headache. Kristen admitted the issue with episode 12 was a mistake on her part, and was fixed for the batch. That leaves episode 13. I see a grand total of 3 people having issues (2 in your first link, and 1 in your second). I would not call 3 complaints “a lot of people”. You have any idea how many people downloaded that episode? Your first link to CCCP says nothing about fixing OC issues anywhere in the 2011 release notes, and the guy in the forum was also having issues with a lot of avi files “lagging” just like he was with episode 12. And he was not told the 2011 version would fix his issue. He asked if it was safe to install, and he was told yes it was safe to install by Helion. Namaiki says he thinks the issue with episode 12 is fixed with the 6-26-11 release cause it handles ordered chapters better than the older version, but as I already told you Kristen fixed her mistake in the original release, and nobody complained about episode 12 not working after the batch was released.
I’ve noticed you’re English is not the best. Also you like using “cause” instead of “because”, and you seem to forget the u in “cause” a lot. That’s identical to that anonymous user who’s thread you just happened upon on the CCCP forum with your exact same problem. That’s one hell of a coincidence.
The other complainer in this thread also had less than perfect English…. Sure is sock-puppet in here.
True. “-_-” didn’t misspell the same word the same exact way every time it was used like Stiven, and the guy on the CCCP forum did. They misspelled the same word the same way a total of 15 times (10 times in the CCCP forum, and 5 times here). It’s probably a good chance they are all 3 just one person trying to convince us he’s not just too stupid to get the video to play himself, and it has to be our fault. I just have nothing to link -_- with the other 2.
The connection may be that, as they are both likely English as a second language learners, their systems are from ‘other’ countries and are less compatible with the English program. I know that it was a pain in the ass to get some Japanese games to work with my American OS.
Just a hunch, I don’t know for certain what his issue was, whether he couldn’t properly implement the program from his own lack of skills or something his system was doing. At any rate I don’t think the problem is coming from Chihiro’s end.
Will you release a version 2 for this episode? I can’t seem to use the patcher.

1. as for your “only 3 people” i sure there was more that just not bother to reply, and the links was just so you understand the point (seems like u not O_O … i really start to see u in a whole different picture)
and BTW the problem of ep 13 happend in the 720P where people can’t see the whole ep after the OP , in the 480P only the ED is black and not the whole ep so i sure that most of the people download it insted to solve their problem back at the time (just like i did).
and btw don’t bother to check it of u using CCCP 2011 case the problem only occur in 2010 version
also i just redownload ep 12 and 13 from the batch to test it and saw the total same problems in CCCP 2010 (on other pc… don’t think i be that stupid to reinstall cccp 2010 on my own pc just for you…)
I have yet to update to the 2011 version of CCCP. I haven’t, and still don’t have any problems playing episodes 12 or 13 of Amagami SS on either my laptop or desktop. As I said before unless I have some magical version of CCCP the issue is not with our encode.

from what i understand this caused the problem “Newer libavcodec fixes a very rarely occuring bug in H.264 decoding. ” but Hey i just saw it fix the problems that were in cccp 2010 in EP 13
with my own very eyes (not to mention that i test it before month ago on other shows that done similar problems) also from the link i send Namaiki reply was: “It should fix an issue for releases that use ordered chapters like that Amagami release you mentioned.” even before that Egozi guy encounter the problems of ep 13 (case it was only in the next page >.>)
h.264 is a video codec. It has nothing to do with ordered chapters. Also it says it’s a bug in h.264 decoding meaning the issue is with the decoder. Not the encodes.

How could you have already told me that you just tested it? If you just tested it then you couldn’t have already told me about something you hadn’t done yet. Excluding you there is not another single person that is still having issues. That’s not exactly what I would call conclusive evidence the issue is anywhere but with your computer, or the person sitting in front of it.

All you’ve proven is that you know 20 people that have as little, or less of a grasp on the English language than yourself. For future reference from somebody with English as their first language cause, and because are interchangeable. Case and cause are not, and will only succeed in getting somebody to give you a funny look as they try to figure out what you’re trying to say. And Ren was saying that the issue could be that your computer is not handling CCCP correctly since it is an English based program, and your computer is not. And it’s not my mistake. I don’t do any encoding for the group. If it’s anybody’s mistake it would be Kristen’s, but since you’re the only one having issues I still don’t see that as very likely.

All I know is when you registered here to comment you used an “i”. There is a definite line with a dot above it. I can take a screenshot when I get home from work if you like. And I think the odds are rather miniscule that of all the people that downloaded those episodes only 2 with almost identical email addresses/screennames are having the same exact issues with the same exact episodes while misspelling the same words. FYI you used the same email address for -_- or is that also a coincidense of somebody else unrelated having the same issue and having the same email address as you?

If it’s already fixed then does it really matter? If there is an issue then it should be fixed, but I don’t see the issue here.
The problem is he’s claiming we’re releasing stuff that won’t play then not fixing it when one issue was fixed, and the other was never an issue to start with. You would not believe how many people will believe crap like that and go elsewhere if we just ignore it. He’s also claiming to be 3 different people. That’s why I checked the email addresses. It’s not power abuse cause he gave us the information willingly when he registered to post. He didn’t have to register here.

Hmm… Maybe Stiven had other codec packs (or splitter) installed, which interfered with CCCP? Possibly even unknowingly since I’ve heard that some codec packs don’t even uninstall properly.
I noticed the advertising in your pic Kristen. I case you didn`t know there`s an addon for firefox to disable these. It`s called adblock plus just search for it in your ff addon manager ;-).
For the releases of your projects are you using the new 10-bit h264 encoding or still the 8-bit h264 encoding? I’ve noticed that Kami-sama no Memo-chou Ep. 01 is over 400 MB while so far Eps. 02 and 03 have been under 300 but appear to have the same HD quality as EP 01.

The first ep was an hour long special so it was ~ twice as long therefore ~ twice as large.
It has all been 8-bit encoding so far.

Hey, I’ve got a question about the OP / ED – I usually delete the files off my computer after I watch them, so do I have to keep the OP and ED so that episode 2 will play properly?

If you delete the OP/ED then when you play the episode, the OP & ED will get skipped. As a test, temporarily move the OP/ED out of the folder then you’ll see what will happen if you deleted them.

also i agreed with that “Stiven” “Egozi” whatever guy, i have some problems he claim to have untill i pass to cccp 2011 07 30, and ONLY than then were fixed.
i try to test the problems in other pcs.. it seems that in laptops everything working perfectly and in pcs with different hardwares it not, next time test it on NORMAL pc dude, it seem like you just got beaten.
