I’m in the same boat (not literally).
So far the extent of the devastation appears to be the raping of the bottled water section at Safeway. Tho I’m just waiting for a repeat of last summer’s storm induced power outage. Go go Pepco Fail! Seriously, how long does MoCo have to wait for a proper electrical infrastructure? Preferably one that doesn’t shit itself when there’s more than a gentle breeze blowing…
I am without power, and last word was we wouldn’t get it back until Sunday or Monday.
Incidentally if s0uten happens to see this pass it on to Soi or Kristen so they don’t think I skipped the meeting. The power went out half an hour before it was supposed to start.
Good luck with the hurricane, I hope there’s no greater damage or any human losses to come. To tell the truth, I don’t really know what to say in such a situation, so please don’t read too much into it if that sounds awkward.

Irene was anticlimactic for us on Long Island east of Nassau. Some trees down, some power lines down, a little flooding by the Bay. Not much.
Hope everything went okay for anyone else in Irene’s drunken path.
Yea, Hurricane for me took my electricity down but not as bad as other places. I saw the news and saw 1 tree smash 3 vehicles. O.o
@nomae- there’s nothing for me to time. I wasn’t given anything to do this season. I’m fairly certain I’ll hve power back before next season starts.
