just for the record, I’m not bitching about filesize, I’m just wondering why some episodes are 380 MB (like ep. 5) and some are 1 GB (like ep. 8). there can’t be that much difference in the material..?
I mean, we usually see filesizes ranging like 20-30% from the average, but not -20% to +160%…?

The reason ep 8 is so big is because there are a lot of grainy flashback scenes. The grain in those scenes REALLY increases the filesize. Usually there’s not that much variation, but K-On decided to have one ep that was 50% flashbacks.
I have a question, in the tv version of Episode 7 there was subs during Pure Pure Heart, on this version there are none, was this intentional or not?
I think there is another script issue with ep 7, at 3:39 (it’s only at 3:39 if the OP file is not present).
Nodoka says “I’m sorry, because I didn’t do my job well…” and then I distinctly hear her say the words “fan club” but the subs do not continue.
Though this may be intentional too, since the TV version has the same issue.
