Compared yours and Jacob’s release.
Yours has very bland colors while his has stronger which is just better.
You can only compare against the original source, not a re-encode, to tell which one’s closer to the original and not overfiltered.
Well I can certainly say its not overfiltered. I think its just the right amount.
Close to CG’s monogatari if I had to be specific.

Jacob’s is a re-encode and don’t give credit to someone who just re-encodes subs, and all are Chihiro’s…. Their releases are pretty darn good I always watch them when they release an anime I’m watching. 😛
Just curious, is there a patch to add the missing chapters to episode 7? Seems like all 11 other episodes have them except it.
Update: It doesn’t look like it uses ordered chapters either unlike the others, how bizarre. I guess that would need a whole new file… any way I can convert it myself to using ordered chapters using MKVToolnix or something?
You cannot use ordered chapters here because there’s no OP and ED in this episode, there’s only an epilogue which is already muxed in.
You can however create a normal chapter file and mux it in.
Gotcha, I did notice there wasn’t an OP and the ED was unique. Do you have any timestamp values I should use to create my own chapters (or a chapter file I could mux on)? Thanks for the reply on this old show 🙂
I made you a set of four different versions, here, mux in the ones you prefer with mkvmerge.
Version 1 has the exact same chapters as the blu-ray.
Version 2 has a prologue, main part, epilogue and preview chapters only.
Version 3 has a main part, epilogue and preview chapters only.
Version 4 has a main part and preview chapters only.
Holy crap, such a fast response, you’re amazing. Any suggestion on which one matches the rest of the episodes best? You’ve earned a new fan for your group, I’ll definitely be looking to you guys as a priority on shows you do now 😀
