Saijaku Tamer wa Gomi Hiroi no Tabi wo Hajimemashita Blu-ray Batch

So this was a rather challenging BD which took a couple of weeks and attempts to encode. It had a massive amount of grain on it, to the point that the encodes were something like 54 GB. I had to choose between a heavy denoise or a massive file that was closer to the source, and went kinda in the middle with a moderate denoise since I felt the grain looked kinda bad. Some may want it more like the original BD, some may want it smaller, but that will be for other groups to do. This is what I believe it should look like.

BDMV will be uploaded (I bought this one), but it will be at least a week until it’ll be released.

    Must protec. Ivy’s smile must be protected at all costs. I found this simplistic but wholesome and enjoyable aside from the first episodes with the cruelty. Also, the OP is beautiful, both visually, thematically, and in terms of the music. Anyway, the ending is good enough on its own, but the manga is still ongoing, and I want Ivy to visit Oggt again, and eventually deal with her scumbag hometown village, so I’m still holding out a tiny bit of hope for an eventual season 2. No big deal if we don’t get one though. Thanks for doing this one Chihiro, I probably wouldn’t have discovered or watched it otherwise.

    The novels are are still ongoing and way ahead of the manga, in the English translation at least. The one problem with a second season is how the anime diverged too far from the story with respect to Sora. Each time Sora heals something it evolves and a red splotch appears on its body until half of its body is red and half of it is blue. In the manga, which is in black-and-white it is difficult to show this but it is at least described in dialogue. The anime, being in colour, could show this visually and it becomes important later in the story. As far as Ivy’s family goes that has been somewhat resolved in the novels at this point although there will be a point where Ivy will need to return to Ought to tie up some loose ends

    @Gawyn
    I see. Thanks for the info. Maybe we’ll get lucky and get a season 2 someday. Fingers crossed.
