So, last Thursday, pig2cat and I were browsing perfect dark to see what marimite options we have. After all, AT-X sucks as a station and only broadcasts in 720×480, limiting us to 704×400 releases, and even then in shoddy video quality. We stumbled upon 3 .ts’s listed in perfect dark. One was an AT-X, the second was a TV-S, and the third was KBS.
AT-X sucks, as explained before. KBS was really blurry, and the best we could get out of it was 720×480 anamorphic for a release. However, the TV-S stream was very good. It had a lot more detail, even though it still had rainbowing and stuff, but unfortunately also very crappy motions at some points, which we couldn’t really get out.
So, we encoded it with heavy filters to 1024×576, and we’re happy with the result. However, naming it became really hard. This isn’t a v2, since we’re not really changing anything inside it due to a mistake. It’s not a HD version, since it is 576p, not 720p. It IS a HQ version, but that would not differentiate it from the 1st version, as that was also high quality subtitles. So, we’ll call it the TVS version, after the station that we are encoding from.

Important News from Kyoko-chan!
So, this is episode 13 and unfortunately it’ll be our last episode. As previously announced the series will be dropped due to licensing. For this, special, final episode we’ve thought about adding something nice, so uncle windstar made you some karaoke for the OP and ED. Another funny fact is that we’ve actually thought it’s impossible to bring out episode 13 since we couldn’t find a TLer – I went through hell finding one. XD

So, this is it. Our “big” show. It’s the one we’ve been planning and working on since November to get right, and now, we’re able to release it. Expect full quality on this one. For the most part, it’s the same staff that gave you ef, though the timer and the KFxer are different.
This is a TBS show, so it airs in 4:3, and will be released in 16:9 3 weeks later on BS-i.
We are hoping to release this on Saturday mornings.

Edit: Since I guess Kristen didn’t make it clear enough, Chihiro is subbing both the 4:3 and 16:9 versions. Anyone who wants it now can download the 4:3, and those who are patient can get the 16:9 when it airs 3 weeks later. Since so many people have been asking a question that’s already been answered, I thought I’d post it here in as easy-to-understand words as possible.
I think that’s yuri. Is it? Characters not being introduced is T_T.
Anyways, this show should’ve been relatively obvious. It is a relatively simple starting concept (A can turns into a girl), and it is bound to be incredibly ecchi. We are doing this show to try and get more of a definition this season. In case you didn’t realize, all of our shows have a “fap” element in them. ZKC is lolis (Pedo. >.>), Marimite is yuri, Akikan is ecchi, and Minami-ke is Haruka-neesama.
Now, before we get accusations, this was NOT picked up because of the other groups doing it. Rather, we decided back in November to do it, dropped it because we thought we were doing more than the staff could handle, and then we found a way so we re-added it. It was re-added on Tuesday, FYI, not Saturday. Doing shows for the purpose of smiting another group is stupid. So, let’s all hold hands, sing kum-bai-ya (SP?), and sub shows that we really just want to for fun. ^.^
h.264 is encoded with AAC audio to 1280×720 from a BS-11 transport stream, so long as one is available.

As previously stated, this was re-encoded onto a TV-Osaka transport stream, and I got to say, it was a lot more compressible than before with this. Same filesize, but it should be less blocking thanks to the compressibility. Colors seem to be much better too than before.
We also added in a little effect for the OP, fixed a few lines (Thanks Jaguar!), and added in that missing line (I’ll just sleep a little more), as well as that missing typeset (Hosaka’s fortune).
v1 XviD isn’t happening. That’s why we were late with it.
Future episodes will hopefully use a TV Tokyo transport stream.
