Because over 9,000 people have now asked this question, I will answer it here and only here. The 1080p release is encoded at 1440×1080, which is the resolution the TV station broadcast it at. It is anamorphic, so on playback, it automatically resizes to the proper widescreen resolution. This helps to save bitrate (meaning smaller releases) and doesn’t hurt quality, since the broadcast is encoded in the same way.
Yeah, we made a boo-boo that was only realized after we released the episode. But there was no seeding, hence we could delete the torrent off nyaa and release it without wasting anyone’s bandwidth. Since it wasn’t seeded, we’ll call this the v1.
