Which Mio is which?! Apparently today it was announced that all Blu-rays of this show had been cancelled. I’ve honestly never heard of something like this before. Their twitter did say something about “currently adjusting it so it can be delivered by another method” but I have no idea if that means box sets instead of individual releases, or if they’re just going to stream it or what. We’ll continue to do the TV version to the end of course, but waiting on more news before we make a decision on an archival copy.
Apparently after episode 12 there will be a 1 week pause, meaning that episode 12 airs on 6/25, and episode 13 on 7/9. Some recap narrated by the Seiyuus will air on 7/2. No, we will not be doing that recap.

Here is the BD for this series. We made a few QC fixes, added the BD-only episode 7 song, and updated lyrics to official for the first few episodes. We are neither confirming nor denying whether we’ll be doing the movie or season 2. The recap episode from airing was not on the BD so we included it how we released it (just with the filename renamed to have the same format as the others)
More chibis? You betcha! Again, these are our lowest priority to do, so don’t expect them on any regular schedule. Pic unrelated.
Obviously, the girls in their pajamas has significance. Hiori wears a button down shirt and shorts as we saw in a previous episodes (obscured by the table) representing her separated life. Ruka wears a single nightgown with a belt, which shows how she appears to have her life together, but really needs support to keep it from coming apart. And Miyako’s long nightgown shows the extended agony of her life thus far. Very symbolic scene! …I think. Note – This episode had to be encoded from a dehardsubbed Wakanime source using funi since Amazon bugged. Hence the audio is Funi’s (1 extra frame added to the start and end to match up with Funi’s length)
I thought we were only subbing one magical girl show this season, not two. NOTE: Next week’s episode may be delayed due to real life stuff. |
