So, why is this a release from us? Well, all people who worked on it this time were from Chihiro, since we re-edited/re-TLCed it. So, we’re release the 1v2 as basically Chihiro 1. I don’t know why it wouldn’t upload like the 20 times I attempted to upload it. Each time was a ping timeout or something. I blame my home’s internet. Episode 2, episode 2, episode 2! This time, we’ll try and get it out days earlier than we did last week. XD Done: Get Raw TL TLC Time Typeset Edit QC To Do: Encode ETA: 9 PM EST So, it was fun. We subbed Geass every week, gaining a couple hours on the next sub group to release. Sure, we were about an hour slower at the end than we were during the 2nd week, but it was still saving fans who don’t care about the quality of the subs, but the anime itself, time. If the same groups were releasing, we would have not dropped it, but continued to try to find a TLer for Geass to work so we could release at around 11 AM every Sunday. However, this week there was a group called Nightspeed. They were there last week as well, but were largely ignored since the released on 10 minutes before GG. I know GG does karaoke (softsubbed), so watching them means DLing them, extracting subs, deleting kara, and remuxing to have a clean OP/ED. But I know speedsub groups don’t do kara (True ones, that is), so I DLed Nightspeed hoping for that, since they released at the same time we used to. I was completely shocked. Nightspeed had fine timed the subs, edited them, added in karaoke, and their encode was truly beautiful. In other words, Chihiro subbing it and releasing at the same time would be oversubbing. After all, oversubbing is releasing the same or worse quality after another group. To put it simply, Geass is dropped, and Chihiro supports Nightspeed with their releases.
Awee, they introduced Uzume so much better in the manga! She only had undies on in the manga, I swear. Okay, everyone! Here’s just a little something to update those of you who’re curious about Chihiro’s work on Sekirei. It’s been quite a long, bumpy start for us, but I think things will definitely get going by the time episode three rolls around. Here’s the current status of Sekirei: Episode 1 Status: Done Episode 2 Status: Encode Look forward to the fanservice, ecchi-ness, and cuteness soon! After some discussion, thought, flaming, eating, aquarium visits, and panty shots, we have decided that the Ayako-Chihiro joint for Sekirei will be called off. Chihiro will still be releasing Sekirei, but it will be on its own this time, not with Ayako. There was only 1 person in our group who wanted a joint, [Jaka], and he wasn’t even the translator assigned to it. We needed help week 1, though, so he had the grounds of “Make a joint or I TL with Ayako and you guys are on your own”. But, he ragequit anyways, so no need to worry about that. I’ll give you a timetable of when to expect all of our Sekirei stuff soon.
We’re done! Finally! 🙂 Sorry about the massive delays. I was hoping to get this out like 3 or 4 days ago, but more and more things piled on, and we had to switch encoders, and deal with better raws, and needed lots of TLC/QC, and basically tons of stuff that comes from the first week. We basically had no organization this week due to the first week crisis stuff, but it should be better now. I think we all know what to do and when, so expect episode 2 out much earlier than this was. Also of note, ASF is a really fun group to work with. <3 Also, although you probably don’t care, XviD is encoded at 704X400, not 704X396, so it’s a bit different than what Chihiro usually releases. h.264 is 1280X720. Also, for those who are saying we copied Minori-Osu’s TL, I’ll inform you that we had a TL of this before they released. So, unless someone magically knew exactly what Jaka was thinking with Minori, it’s not going to be their TL. h.264: Here XviD: Here
We’re done! Well, almost. Still have batches to do. XviD batch should be coming shortly. We need to wait for 1 thing extra before we release the h.264 batch, so I’d expect that in a few days. By the way, a ton of thanks to Anime Share Fansub for the kara these past two episodes. <3 you guys. Another thing. Chihiro is taking applications for editor. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE only apply to me if you are cut out for the job. We need someone who can take an episode and change it into proper English. I want you online a lot, and you need to be able to handle MAJOR issues that I’m getting in a few of these scripts. Some knowledge in Japanese is a plus, but not a requirement. Yay! It’s done! Sorry about the delay, we just had some encoding issues. Anyways, right back on track now, and 13 should be out shortly, followed by the batch (Probably XviD first with h.264 a few days later. Again, another surprise there) So, do I want to rant about something? I guess that would be a good idea. How about how stupid some drivers are on the road? Honestly, I’m driving in the middle lane, doing the speed limit, being a good little girl, etc. A driver approaches me from behind. Left lane and right lane are completely clear. So, WHY DO YOU PASS ME ON THE RIGHT! So frustrating. T_T In other news, next Friday is CLANNAD!
