I was between two pictures of Reina for this post. Both are totally accurate depictions of her. Huge thanks to newfie for the TLC of the OVA! This show was rather challenging to complete, but it’s finally done. Despite the sudden influx of BD batches, do not expect the next one (Masou Gakuen HxH) until late August.
When Monmusu aired, there were about 60 daily specials which came with it, each 15-30 seconds long. This is all of them from the Blu-ray using R1 subs. Timing was a pain in the butt since R1 used a different order than JP. For those wondering the 2 OVAs are in the plans for the future – just not the immediate future.
So unfortunately there won’t be Blu-rays for this series. The Blu-ray is one of the worst I’ve ever seen with fully blended fields after IVTC. Fixing them would make a result worse than the web source, so we just took the BD audio, FLACed it, and muxed it in with the web source instead. Files also got some TS upgrades and modernizations. Only 720p as that’s all we ever released for this series.
Of the 14 shows I mentioned besides NGNL (which is not my responsibility) in https://chihiro-subs.com/2022/03/18/monster-musume-no-iru-nichijou-blu-ray-batch/ which did not receive a BD batch, this was by far the easiest. It simply needed a sign tracked in 01 and some blur in 03, so they got v2’d. Rest were already done. All credit is to the original people who worked on this. 5 BD backlogs from the October 2013 to November 2020 era to go!
Me: Can I do this? Q_Q Reminder: Episodes 3 will most likely be stalled 2 weeks, and 4 will definitely be stalled at least 1 week due to my vacaton.
